Making a difference is such a feel good thing to do and by joining

our tribe in the month of May you can make a difference in the lives

of 1,000 individuals in Australia living with Epidermolysis Bullosa.

All you need to do is come up with your Personal Best challenge

which could be as simple or as complex as you like.

PB4EB is a campaign that anyone can be a part of. It is all about a group of people doing

their personal best to raise awareness and critical funds for DEBRA Australia’s life changing

programs.

PB4EB is such a great way during Covid-19 and virtual schooling for kids to connect

with their peers and challenge themselves and make a difference all at the same time.

WHY JOIN PB4EB

THERE ARE OVER 1000 PEOPLE CURRENTLY LIVING IN AUSTRALIA THAT ARE AFFECTED

BY ‘THE WORST DISEASE YOU’VE NEVER HEARD OF’ EPIDERMOLYSIS BULLOSA ALSO

CALLED EB.

EB IS LIKENED TO HAVING 3RD DEGREE BURNS AND THE SKIN BLISTERS AND

BREAKS AT THE SLIGHTEST TOUCH. EB SUFFERERS GO THROUGH EXTREMELY PAINFUL 3 HOUR DRESSING CHANGES

EVERY SECOND DAY. JOIN THE TRIBE THIS MAY TO HELP THE PRECIOUS BUTTERFLY

Not sure what EB is?

Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) is the worst disease you’ve never heard of. It is a rare genetic condition which causes the skin to blister at the slightest friction or touch and is likened to living

with third degree burns.

Individuals impacted by EB undergo 3 hours bleach baths and dressing changes every second day to manage the condition

and there is no cure. DEBRA Australia is a National charity that supports individuals and families affected by EB. The

life changing programs enable families to have access to EB Nurses, In Home Nursing Support and Family Support.

what they will be supporting.

Have the students choose their own PB4EB that will challenge them to do something that will be fun and engaging.

- SIGN THE SCHOOL UP- STUDENTS SET UP THEIR OWN FUNDRAISING PAGE

- SHARE HOW YOU ARE GOING WITH THE CLASS

2. VIRTUAL DRESS DOWN DAY

Set the date for your school to get involved and have kids dress in mufti, funny dress or they can do ‘show us your seams day’. Students wear their clothes inside out to support kids all

around Australia with EB.

- SIGN THE SCHOOL UP- SCHOOL SETS UP THE FUNDRAISING PAGE AND FAMILIES AND

STUDENTS CAN DONATE TO PARTICIPATE

3. SCHOOL OR TEACHERS COME UP WITH THEIR OWN CHALLENGE

We will provide you with a toolkit and the students can print off their fundraising log and have friends and family pledge and donate to their tally. What we love about this concept is that

everyone can get involved. You don’t have to be a fast runner or you don’t have to be able to read well you can do your ‘personal best’ in something you love to do!
