DATE: June 17, 2020 Re: Epley Tract Pass-Thru Wastewater Service Request GEI No. 1501-11417-98 An Application (Application) requesting pass-thru wastewater service for the Epley Tract (Project) has been received by Gray Engineering, Inc. (GEI). The Application requests pass-thru wastewater service pursuant to South Buda WCID No. 1’s (District) agreement with the City of Buda for allowing wastewater service to tracts located outside the District’s boundaries to be passed through the District’s wastewater system and ultimately to the City of Buda for wastewater treatment and disposal. Wastewater customers within those pass-thru service areas become retail wastewater customers with the City of Buda. The Application is complete and all fees have been paid in accordance with the District’s pass-thru wastewater service policy. The Project encompasses a total of approximately 20.538 acres and is generally located adjacent to and north of the District’s boundary. The Application calls for the ultimate construction of approximately 174 townhouse units with a projected peak wastewater demand of 125 gallons per minute (gpm) service, which translates into approximately 174 LUEs. The Project is essentially a continuation of the Harvest Meadows Townhouse development currently underway by Gehan Homes in the District. A copy of Project’s supporting information is attached for reference. The project proposes to tie an internal wastewater line into the newly constructed Harvest Meadows 8” wastewater line that ties into the District’s internal wastewater collection system. From there the wastewater flows go to the existing Meadows at Buda lift station and force main to be pumped to the City of Buda’s wastewater treatment facility. Pass-thru wastewater service to the Epley Tract was anticipated and planned for in the design and construction of the District’s new Meadows at Buda Phase II Lift Station and Force Main Improvements. Capacity to serve the Epley Tract is included in those improvements.
