Introduction
TM Online Map was developed to introduce TM's own Malaysian base map maintained by TM Geomatics Development and Services to TM internal staff. This system is hoped to help users by providing map navigation and searching function to locate Places of Interests and Streets as well as gathering comments and feedbacks in TM GDS's effort to improve the map content and presentation.
System Requirements
TM Online Map can run on most web browsers. Recommended browsers: Internet Explorer 6 and above and Mozilla Firefox 2 and above. Recommended viewing resolution: 1024 x 768 pixels and above
Features
Search POI and Street Search and locate places of interests (buildings, landmarks, etc.) or street by entering the place or street name. Find address Find location of a specific house or property address. Send Feedback Submit report of incorrect property placements, street junctions, or building names. Pin point a specific location on map by placing a marker or simply submit feedback about map presentation, missing functions or TMOM speed performance not related to map information. Map Tools Zoom to given coordinates in map. Measure distance between points or area of polygon.

Getting Started
Website address The address for TMOM is http://www.tmgeomatics.com.my/
1) Launch the internet browser 2) Enter the URL given above
Basic Operations
Map navigation
Click the navigational arrows at the top left of the map to move the map view
Drag the zoom scale to zoom in and zoom out
Click, hold and move the map image around to pan map Scroll mouse scroller forward to zoom in Scroll mouse scroller backward to zoom out Hold Shift key, drag mouse across the map and release mouse to zoom into a
rectangle area

Search location
Type the location to search in text box
Select search type, Places of Interest or Street Click search button Map will center on the clicked search result Search string must not less than 3 characters
Find address
Type in house number (eg. 51, G1, 11A) Try using block name for flats, apartments or condos for house number Exclude prefix such as 'No.', 'Lot', 'Blok', etc. Type in street name and/or number (eg. Utama 1/5, Emas 3, Tengas) Try using several combinations if no result match (eg. 'Bukit', 'Bkt', 'B', 'Tmn',
'Baru', 'Bharu') Exclude prefix such as 'Jalan', 'Street', etc. Type in Section (eg. Taman Sentosa, Seksyen 19, SS15) Type in Postcode (eg. 40200) Select State Click Find

specific location

(Optional) Line markers can be used to mark along an object. Click the Draw Line Marker, click points to create the line and double click to complete the drawing.
(Optional) Area markers can be used to mark around an area. Click the Draw Area Marker, click points to create a polygon and double click to complete the drawing.
(Optional) Click 'Remove marker' to remove the mark (Optional) Center the map on location to be included as screenshot Untick the 'Include screenshot' checkbox to send simple textual feedback

Hover on Map menu
Click menu Right click on image to save

Zoom to coordinates
Go to Search > Coordinates Key in <latitude>,<longitude> in the text box Click Go

Measure distance and area
Go to Map > Measure Select Measure distance button
Click points to measure on the map Doubleclick to end measuring Select Navigate to move to another area Select Measure area button
Click points on the map to create a polygon Doubleclick to complete drawing Select Navigate to return to map navigation mode

Layer Control
Use Map > Layer Control function to toggle additional layers
Some layers will only appear after certain zoom levels
Legend about this layer can be viewed in Help > Legend

View Nearby POI/Network
Some POI are hidden from display especially in crowded area and if POI are inside building
‘View POI inside building’ is enabled by default
Go to Map > View Info to change this setting
Click on map to view nearby POI/Network
Hover on list in pop-up to highlight its exact location

Click Details to view free pair/port & attainable speed for corresponding Cabinet/DP
These data are retrieved from NIS/Granite
Adding User Layer
Go to Map > User Layer
Follow instructions on the left panel

Area with network information but without landbase. - Identify area with network information but without landbase. - Sent feedback using feedback function in TMOM by describing details of the area such as its address, Taman name, address, POI name, property number and etc. - Example of feedback as below:
