April 2011 National Chevy AssociationTM 1

Hi from Nat’l. Chevy, I hope all is well with you. We actually had a break in our horrible winter mid-February with temps rising to about 40 de-grees. Then a few days later we got hit with another 13” or 14” of snow. This has been a hard winter for us and we’ll all be glad to see spring arrive. Another big storm is predicted to arrive in a few days so we can only hope the weatherman is wrong. There is no place to put any more snow in the Twin Cities. I’m really hoping for good weather at the beginning of March so my plane can leave and get me to Las Vegas for the NASCAR race. We have some new parts that are arriving soon that you may be interested in. How about some vent shades for your 1949-52 4-door Styleline or some new door bottoms or a new trunk floor for your 1953-54? Door bottoms are for 2-dr. Sedan only and trunk floor should fit all models. For the 1949-52 models we now have what Eddie calls “sex nuts” for the windshield cen-ter divider. The glass tracks are also ready and we have them for 1949-52 Styleline and Fleetline front and rear doors and 1949-52 hardtop and convertible models. The 1953 and 1954 tracks are available for 2 and 4 door cars and hardtop/convertibles. We also will have 1953-54 hardtop outside sunvisor. We have received a sample to check out for the manufacturer which now has a home on Jason’s hardtop, which will be in the “World of Wheels” show this weekend. If you are interested in any of these parts, give us a call. If not in stock all will be here soon. Thanks for the newsletter articles. As usual, I really appreciate your help and hope you will keep them coming. ‘Til next time.......

To NCA,

Here are some pictures that we sent in of our 1951 Chevy Styleline Deluxe Station Wagon. The motor in it is a 350 fuel in-jected with throttle body and a 700 R transmission. We bought our car in October 2002 and completely did it from the ground up replacing everything.

Bill & Carolyn CowanSharon, PA

Keep up the good work!

Now.....

Hello

This is my story. 03 My son and his father-in-law found this 1954 210 4-dr. in a field. They had it on the truck and were going to junk it. I said I would like to have it. So they dropped it off in my backyard. Then what? It came out of Arizona as a parts car with no title, and someone put in a 1962 engine with a torch. The engine was apart and no trans. It took a year before I got a title for it. Then I got an engine, 1953 PG with

standard transmission and PG rearend. I retired in 2004 and started working on it. It was very solid without rust. I spent a lot of hours in the backyard and garage. I did everything but the interior, which was done by Amish men. This is the same col-ors as the 1954 I had in 1959. Someone told me about N.C.A. and Parts-Line. It took a long time but it came out nice. Thank you. And to the members....let’s keep this going.
