Launched in 2006, Libra+ continues to be the consumer’s choice for

both style and functionality. The range, which features functions such as

alert identification icons, volume control and Friedland’s secure 868MHz

frequency, now sees the additions of three new products to the range

making it part of the larger Friedland chimes, security and home

Spectra Wirefree 868 MHz

Our Wirefree Spectra range provides an easy to install detection solution.We have now upgraded our Spectra Wirefree range to operate on 868 MHz. This means the products now benefit from

a less crowded frequency so they are less prone to interference from other wirefree devices and the higher antenna

output provides a stronger transmission enhancing the performance and range between PIR & receiver.

Operating on the 868 MHz frequency also means that Spectra Wirefree is now compatible with and may be integrated

with Libra+ chime systems (see page 8 for Libra+ PIR & chime kit)

The Spectra 868 MHz range is even easier to set up and install as they are already pre-programmed to each other.

• Once installed, when the PIR detector senses the movement of heat sources, it sends a signal to the receiver unit, whichautomatically activates the lighting connected to it

• The wirefree detector can be positioned exactly where needed for optimum detection, or in places difficult to reach withcables. It can also be placed up to 200m* away from the receiver unit

• Ideal for use in driveways, courtyards, gardens, outbuildings, perimeter fences and detached garages

• An unlimited number of PIR’s can be added to the system

Using MyGARD Safe & Secure monitoring managed by Group 4 you can personally select to the day, hour and

minute when you want the security of your property monitored – and you should be contacted in the case of an

incident. It is simple, and you decide.

You can choose to have your property monitored 24 hours a day or for any period of time specified by yourself. You

may decide to have monitoring only whilst out at work, perhaps when away on a holiday break or over the weekend

when your business is closed – you can simply and quickly change your monitoring instructions either on the Internet

via your password protected personal Security Folder or by post. And when your property isn’t being monitored the

SA5 system will still operate as a bell-only alarm.

Additionally you can decide who at any particular time is informed of an incident. For example you may wish

neighbours, staff or family along with yourself to be informed by telephone, mobile phone, text message or e-mail if

there is a problem in the daytime. During the night or whilst you are away you may want a different group of people

informed or request that Group 4 Total Security attend – you can have peace of mind that the problem will be

professionally and efficiently dealt with by a Group 4 Mobile Officer.

Ensure that there are not anyobstructions (plants, screens, furnitureetc.) in the field of view which maycause incorrect cover/operation ofthe detector

Useful Information – Wirefree Chimes and Pushes

• Please note that the positioning of Wirefree Bell Push or Door Chime on or near metal structures, reinforced PVC doors

or door frames may reduce the transmission range

• To ensure weatherproofing is maintained, always mount Bell Pushes the correct way up, as shown in the productinstructions or on the packaging. Then replace the front cover securely

• Please note that Evo, Decor and Visiocam are all compatible and Libra+ will not communicate with these products

Useful Information – Wired Chimes and Pushes• Wired-in Chimes should be mounted vertically on a wall, ideally at 2 metres high, for best sound coverage

• When battery-operated, wired-in Chimes and Bells can be mounted up to a maximum of 15 metres from the push, usingstandard Friedland bell wire

• When transformer operated, wired-in Chimes and Bells can be mounted up to 60 metres from the Push, using standardFriedland bell wire

•D902/D973 Bell In One can be mounted up to a maximum of 9 metres from the push

• The use of wire not intended for Door Chimes /Bells (e.g. telephone wire) may affect Chime/Bell performance

•Do not mount wired-in Chimes on the back of a door, as the chime bars or batteries may dislodge if the door is slammed

• All terminal screws should be tightened down, including those which are not being used

• All wired-in Chimes can operate from either batteries or a suitable transformer

• Additional Chimes can be wired to the original Chime, to provide better sound coverage – an additional or alternativetransformer may also be required

• Lit Pushes require the use of a transformer

• An extra slave light can be wired to a Spectra PIR Product, providing the maximum load is not exceeded. Wire the slaveto N + L1 terminals

• Mini Wired chimes cannot be wired in parallel
