That I am the Municipal Treasurer of the Municipality of Sirawai, Zamboanga del Sur.

That I am in charge of the releasing of funds for the Municipality’s projects.

That on July 7,2014, the Mayor issued check number 1987082 amounting to 250,000 which I encashed on July 9, 2014.

That on July 9, 2014, Mayor Joe ordered the release of cash in favor of Engineer Bonifacio Aranas, the contractor for the implementation of the project which is the construction of the Barangay Hall in Barangay Tangkal, Sirawai.

That on July 10, 2014, upon giving the money to Engineer Aranas, he refused to accept the same because the purpose for which the funds were released could not yet be attained due to the typhoon that struck the province on July 5, 2014.

That the same amount of cash was ordered by the Mayor to be re-deposited at Land Bank of the Philippines, Sirawai Branch.

That on the same day, I re-deposited the same in the aforesaid bank as evidenced by the deposit slip marked as ANNEX…

That Ms Lujelle Joy Fernandez was the teller who entertained me in the said transaction.
