Short course description:
To develop communicative language competencewhich includes linguistic, pragmatic andsociolinguistic components through reception(listening and reading comprehension), productionand interaction (speaking and writing) as well asmediation (translation) language skills at basic userelementary level (A2).
Course content:
The course is designed to develop students’competence of speaking, writing, listening, readingand using grammar correctly at A2 level. Studentscomplete studying grammar tenses of direct mood,getting acquainted with the topics of work, sports,professional and personal life, trips and leisure aswell as acquiring the communicational skills andusage of grammatical rules. The form of studiesincludes lectures, seminars, self-study tasks andwork with TELL ME MORE programme and virtualMOODLE environment (on-line work, synchronousand asynchronous conversations and discussionforums, interactive tests and exercises).
Grading and evaluatingstudent work in class and/orat the final exam:
Colloquium - 20 %, final examination - 30%, classwork - 50 %.
