Powerful Words So here are our ITT vision and values. And here is how they will appear going forward – with the values forming a circle around our new vision. As I said, this is just the beginning of the culture change. And you may be saying to yourself – yeah, and it’s just a lot of words. That’s true in one sense. While words can be very powerful, they can’t do the job alone. They have to be backed up by behavioral changes and leadership commitment and financial investments and strong role modeling. But the right words can serve as a beacon. Think about the great speeches you’ve heard, or the book that changed how you saw the world. Those were just words, but they resonated with you and changed you in some important way. The new ITT vision and values may not change the way any of us think or act today. But over time, as each of us takes responsibility for living our vision and values, they will. It starts with leadership, and rest assured that from the leaders in White Plains to the leaders in this room, we will support you.
