April 14, 1912, before 11:40 p.m Frederick Fleet, rings the warning bell three times and telephones the bridge. Before the impact, Titanic turns to the left, escaping from an accident with the iceberg. However, its starboard side scrapes with the iceberg and it lets Water started pouring. April 15, 1912. Midnight  The iceber g has scra ped along the s hip's side, s everal section s are open up, causing ooding of si compartments simultaneousl!. Titanic couldn't last another two hours. "aptain orders the crew to read! the ship's #$ wooden and four collapsi ble lifeboats. %nvestigators n ow sa! &mith and his cr ew might have been able to bu! more time for their ship b! doing something as simple as a plugging up the holes with clothing or mattresses. April 15, 1912, 12:40 a.m. With water on the deck, Titanic begins to tear. uring that (rst hour, close to )*,+++ tons of water poured into the front of the ship. F illing all damage compartments to the water and causing the bow to tilt lower into ocean. B! ##* a.m. the forward tilt of the ship steepens, and now the lifeboats are full when the! are lowered. April 15, 1912, 2:20 a.m.  The stern r ises fro m the water, then Titani c goes under .  The end has come. The bow is completel! submerged, The last lifeboa t has left, with more than #,*++ people still stranded on the ship. -ne last call is sent, minute later, the ship's lights icker, then go out. fter another two minutes, the bow starts its plunge to the ocean bottom. it would have been impossible for the ship's stern to rise straight up an /+ angle.now investigators believe that the stern never rose higher than a #) angle above the water . The titanic didn't break in half, the ship was actuall! still one piece when it plunged underwater.
