Solaris Paper Pty Ltd, an Australian operated and managed company, distributes high quality

toilet and tissue paper products throughout the Australian region. As a socially, economically

and environmentally responsible company, we adhere to stringent Australian and international

environmental laws, only sourcing our fibre from internationally certified suppliers.

We are committed to purchasing wood fibre for pulp making operations from sustainably

managed forestry sources, which conserve areas of natural habitat and respect the rights

of local communities. To implement this commitment we will:

Ensure that wood suppliers maintain compliance with all relevant regional, national

and international regulations for sustainable forestry and land use management.

Ensure that a multistage environmental assessment process is conducted prior

to plantation development. The environmental assessment process will meet

or exceed the standard required by national law.

Ensure that wood is properly checked and verified as to legal origin

and chain of custody before it enters the mills.

development which is economically, socially and environmentally responsible.

We have an economic responsibility to our key stakeholders to manage and develop our business.

We have a social responsibility to the various communities in which we operate. In Australia, we

are making a positive contribution to our local community by supporting a range of organisations

including our local school, business associations and others. In 2014, we continue our partnership

with Foodbank NSW, the largest hunger relief organisation in Australia, and are proud to have

been part of the 2014 Packages for Homeless campaign.

In February 2013, we welcomed APPs commitment to end deforestation across its entire

supply chain through the introduction of its Forest Conservation Policy (FCP). Covering more than

2.6 million hectares of forest concessions, APPs FCP represented a breakthrough for the global

protection of natural forest. This is important, not only for the sustainability of Solaris Paper products,

but for the preservation of natural forest and the communities that live within and around it.

CHAIN OF CUSTODYENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY IS CRITICAL TO OUR BUSINESS. OUR SYDNEY PLANT

HAS PEFC (PROGRAMME FOR THE ENDORSEMENT OF FOREST CERTIFICATION) CHAIN

OF CUSTODY. THIS CARRIES A RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE 100% OF OUR RAW MATERIALS

ARE EITHER PEFC OR CONTROLLED SOURCES UNDER PEFC GUIDELINES. SOLARIS PAPER

CONTINUES TO WORK TOWARDS INCREASING THE PROPORTION OF CONTROLLED

SOURCES INTO PEFC CERTIFIED MATERIAL.

Solaris Paper requires its suppliers of jumbo rolls to complete a Supplier Evaluation and Risk Assessment (SERA).

The purpose of the SERA is to ensure that the jumbo rolls used by Solaris Paper have been produced from

sources that are sustainable and comply with at least one of the following certification/verification schemes.

The SERA systems implemented by Solaris Paper are audited annually by SGS Australia.
