November is being celebrated as Healthy skin awareness month. So contibuting some tricks and tips to keep your skin healthy this winter

2. Protect yourself from sun A lifetime of sun exposure can cause wrinkles, age spots & other skin problems; as well as increased risk of skin cancer. 3. Use sunscreen with atleast SPF 15. Avoid sun between 10.00 am- 4.00 pm. Wear protective clothing 4. Hot water and long showers remove oils from your skin. Use warm rather than hot water.Treat your skin gently 5. Avoid strong soaps; Choose mild cleansers. 6. Moisturize your skin. 7. Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins. 8. Diet rich in Vitamin C & low in unhealthy fats & processed carbohydrates promote younger looking skin. 9. Manage stress To encourage healthy skin and a healthy state of mind, take steps to manage your stress. 10. Avoid smoking 11. Smoking makes your skin look older & contributes to wrinkles. Smoking decreases skin blood flow. This depletes skin of oxygen & nutrients. Smoking also damages collagen & elastin; the fibres that give your skin its strength & elasticity. 12.
