DESCRIPTION
Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Philadelphia 76ersTRANSCRIPT
“ Do not wait to strike till the iron is hot; make it hot by striking” - William B. Sprague
Cleveland,
The mission has not changed.
In fact, the level of energy, motivation and determination by those of us in every part of your Cleveland Cavaliers franchise has never been higher or stronger.
We will play to win.
Every season. Every game. Every minute.
Why?
You.
The thousands of emails, letters, notes, phone calls and words of support you shared with us this past summer has fueled every one of us with a further heightened sense of will-power and grit to deliver the incredibly loyal and passionate fans of the Cavaliers the ultimate prize.
That prize is an NBA championship.
No fan base deserves it more.
No city deserves it more.
Words will never express the gratitude and appreciation for the overwhelming support and confidence you showered upon this franchise over the past few months.
There will be nothing we do not explore.
There will be no amount of time, capital, brain-power or ingenuity we will not invest if we believe it will contribute to our chances of success.
The train has left. It will not stop until it pulls into “Larry O’Brien Station #1”.
I am looking forward to enjoying the ride with you.
Onward and upward.

Cleveland vs. PhiladelPhiaTipoff: 7:00 pm, Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010
Tonight, the Cleveland Cavaliers will play the Philadelphia 76ers for the second time this season. The last time these two teams met, Daniel Gibson scored 15 of his 20 points in the decisive fourth quarter to help the Cavs secure a 123-116 win at the Wells Fargo Center on Nov. 5. As a team, Cleveland outscored Philadelphia 44-32 in the final quarter, which is the most fourth quarter points allowed by the Sixers in any regular-season or playoff game in two decades. Mo Williams added 22 points and seven assists. Cleveland trails the all-time series 92-86, but has won 12 of the last 15 games against Philadelphia, including last year’s 3-0 sweep.
The Cavs have one of the league’s best interior defenses, holding opponents to only 37.8 points in the paint. Anderson Varejao, who has been a key contributor on the defensive end, made all 10 of his field-goal attempts at Philadelphia on Nov. 5 to become only the third Cavalier ever to shoot 10-for-10 or better from the field in one game. The other two are Johnny Warren (12-for-12) in December 1973 and Zydrunas Ilgauskas (10-for-10) in January 2008. Varejao finished with 23 points and 12 rebounds against the Sixers to pace the Cavaliers, who will wrap up their three-game home stand tonight.
The Sixers, who have lost three straight games, are averaging 17.7 fast break points and are limiting opponents to only 12.4 second chance points per game. Second-year guard Jrue Holiday was solid for the Sixers in the first contest against the Cavs this season, pouring in a career-high 29 points and eight assists. He is averaging 14.3 points, 7.2 assists and 1.9 steals for the season. The Cavs and Sixers will meet again at Quicken Loans Arena on Dec. 7 for the third of four matchups this season.
