The Answer for Pros: PMR range

ICOM in particular offers solutions centred on security, systems or the transmission of data.

As regards security, information from alarms must be immediate: the PTI systems (Protections of Isolated Worker), ROUNDSMAN (management of rounds) and LOCALISATION (on the outside and in a closed environment) allowing for a better reactivity.

Adapted solutions: the Systems

• Protection of the Isolated Worker (PTI-Man down unit). To ensure

the safety of isolated workers in environments at risk and improve

raectivity in case of alarm.

• Checking of rounds with badges reader

for the safety and control of the surveillance staff (with the possibility

of computer management).

• Localisation of staff. To get to know the exact position of staff

on site (external/internal) so as to optimise its security.

ICOM, leader on the marine radio communications market, offers a full and diversified range going from the VHF portable radio to the fixed marine VHF radio as well as the LSB With DSC. Our equipment is at the centre of all challenges encountered by

the sea professionals.

Other equipment can be added to this range, such as the POLYPLANAR audio systems, navigation software, meteorological software or the AIS option.

The Aviation range combines reliability, easy use and advanced functions at the same time. This equipment is specifically adapted for GROUND-AIR use particularly for airport services. This equipment is also used for sport or leisure activities such as Ultra light airplanes, paragliding or hot air ballooning.

ICOM offers a large range of analogical walkie-talkies for free use meeting the PMR446 or LPD standard (no tax or licence). They allow for communications of a nearness of up to 2 Km for the LPD standard and 5 Km for the PMR446 standard (according to conditions of propagation).

Icom is launching the first license-free digital equipment developed in accordance with dPMR standard. Numerical licence introducing all of the benefits of a device without a classic licence, but which benefits from the latest technological advances.
