Finally the reveal happens when the wide shot of the swimming pool is shown on top of a skyscraper, that they are actually in a lavish swimming pool. Thus, the ad overall begins by creating a feeling of sensuality that is pristine and almost dance-form like, set in a surreal space, that then goes on to a naughty-almost teasing stance. Ambience Underwater Playing with ‘infinity’ is going to hold the viewer’s attention, in accordance to the tasteful manner in which it will be dealt with. The presence of the characters are accentuated with the endless space around them; a solemn and tranquil moment is shared between them. Each character is starkly singular in wide spaces. The introduction of elements like ‘bubbles’ and the elaborate wavy movements of the character’s hair, make striking artistic shapes. Over the surface We maintain the infinity of the ocean outside the water as well. In the open infinite ocean, the only elements that one can be involved with are the sun and the sky. The sun’s bright glare and the vastness of the sky that envelopes it, highlights the minimal yet vast environment. The shots outside the water’s surface will make aesthetic use of lens glare and formless imagery of clouds.

Objective

The film is initially constructed of sensual stylized shots taken underwater, edited inan extremely brief almost subliminal montage, creating a sense of fleeting

excitement, but not quite. We will be creating stunning imagery using extremelyclose shots of water bubbles and spinning, air escaping a woman’s lips, sunbreaking through the waters and the webbed, moving reflections that areconsequentially created on the body.

The space that they will be swimming in will convey a feeling of infinity, its bordersnot clear to the viewer. This ambiguousness we will maintain as the man andwoman surface above the water, sensually approaching each other.

The two following sequences, when the man and the woman both surface to water, will be shot in an infinity pool, so as to keep the location ambiguous as we will seenothing behind them but clear sky, implying that they are in an ocean. This is so

that we create the impression that they are absolutely by themselves. So thus, when the man says “2000 ft. above sea level” a question is automatically created, diluting the idea of them being alone.

This initial feeling of intimacy is taken into further confusion, when the second girlrises from the water and says, “Nice watch”. Finally the reveal happens when thewide shot of the swimming pool is shown on top of a skyscraper, that they areactually in a lavish swimming pool. Thus, the ad overall begins by creating a feelingof sensuality that is pristine and almost dance-form like, set in a surreal space, thatthen goes on to a naughty-almost teasing stance.

Ambience

Underwater

Playing with ‘infinity’ is going to hold the viewer’s attention, in accordance to thetasteful manner in which it will be dealt with. The presence of the characters areaccentuated with the endless space around them; a solemn and tranquil moment isshared between them. Each character is starkly singular in wide spaces. Theintroduction of elements like ‘bubbles’ and the elaborate wavy movements of thecharacter’s hair, make striking artistic shapes.

Over the surface

We maintain the infinity of the ocean outside the water as well. In the open infiniteocean, the only elements that one can be involved with are the sunand the sky. The sun’s bright glare and the vastness of the sky that envelopes it,highlights the minimal yet vast environment. The shots outside the water’s surfacewill make aesthetic use of lens glare and formless imagery of clouds.

Character Sketches

Male character (M)

Sharp eyes are what one notices first about him. He has a ‘say’ and he does itsmoothly. It has a charm that seldom can be said ‘no’ to. He’s not as much a talker

as much as one who makes definitive statements.

His body is chiseled and has an impressive agility to it. A very athletic mover, hehas a good muscular, toned physique. He makes his way through the waterseamlessly.

He has short hair that sharpens up when he’s out of the water, water dripping off each conical bunch his hair makes. A veil of water droplets enhances his sharpenedlook.

Female character (F)

F has a ‘presence’. That is the foremost thing one will notice when you come acrossher. She is not just beautiful, but has an interactive body language that just makesit more ‘real’ than ‘plastic’.

Her grace is phenomenal and accentuates her presence manifold in a given space. When she is swimming, it’s not laborious; hers are more rhythmic ‘dance’ likemovements.

Her sensuality is the most striking thing about her character. She has a hypnoticgaze that catches your attention. But she doesn’t desire ruthlessly, if that’s what aconstant gaze may imply. Hers is a gaze that is only to be admired for most; thetrue beauty of it comes out when the gaze ‘involves’ you. She doesn’t desire much

in anyone. That is why it becomes very interesting when she does admire M.

Given that her beauty has been spoken of so much, one must indulge in herphysical beauty as well. Her body’s slenderness lets her look fragile; but the swiftcat-like movements are an added surprise. When she is swimming underwater, herbody moves as if it was always streamlined and was adept at swimming. With herbody, wearing a bikini, it appeals in the most sensual way.

Narrative

There’s only blissful emptiness under water, a blue that is pure and consumingunlike anything else. All that can be seen is clean, pristine, blue water with thesun’s light bending in as it comes through. A few streaks of light make the waterglimmer. The water is calm but not completely at rest. A hint of wave can be felt, like a huge hand caressed a massive unmoved blue curtain.

This serenity is suddenly disturbed by a woman who dives in. She comes throughwith a bullet-like force, creating a jet stream in her course of entry. A massive cloudof bubbles take form around her, but it dissipates away as she cuts away and swims

down.

UNDERWATER INTRODUCTIONS

On the other end, the stillness of the water is disturbed by another individual. We

see a man swimming his way towards the woman. He’s swift and propels himself with powerful strokes. His hands and legs are moving in a graceful manner, synchronized movements taking him forward.

The frantic movement of his hands and legs will be captured in highly stylizedmontages. Fast cuts of his hands rowing away, his feet kicking away, his shouldermuscles flexing will be shown in visually detailed shots.

The presence of the two bodies in absolute ‘nothingness’, makes it imperative forthe two to interact. The clear water is no deterrent for them in spotting each other.

So it was only a matter of time before the woman spotted the man and made herway down towards him. Her beautiful, slender hips curl and straighten as she swims

down a curve. The hips lead on to the legs that are kicking away in a dance-likemanner, measured and graceful. Again, her body’s movements discussed above willbe shown in the montage sequence.

A hint of aggression can be felt as they get closer. They approach each other with athrill, head on for each other. When they come closer, the man takes a swift plungeand goes from under her, teasing her. She crosses over and takes a sudden halt. Her hair makes a splendorous wave as she turns around to look at her man. Hefloats ahead of her, not too far away, with a body language inviting her to comeplay. She acknowledges the invitation with a small smile. A tiny bubble escapes asher lips open slightly. Again, all the shots described here will be given the montagetreatment and the variety of visuals will make it absolutely breathtaking.

She swims slowly now, towards the man who is only floating now, waiting for her.Her movements are like a water snake, belly gently moving forward and back. Shecreeps up his body, comes face to face with him and then leans over to his ears. She whispers something, a rush of bubbles escaping as she does it and her hairfloating around playfully.

SURFACING

They swim upwards towards the surface. The man breaks out first, creating a scenicripple; his head emerges with a cloak of water falling off and a spurt of water blown

out of his lips. The woman comes out subsequently, her entry not being so grand. She is slow in her act of settling down, one hand used for pulling her wet hair backwhile floating with the help of the other hand. The man is looking on intently, dropsof water dripping down from his hair, making his gaze even more pronounced. She approaches him like a tense cat, puts her arms around his neck and brings herface treacherously close to his. Her lips slowly open up, letting the moment sink in.

Then she asks with a mischievous demeanour,

“Where were we?”

The man, in an overconfident, playboy tone, replies, “2000 ft above the ground”.

She gives out a wry smile, moves back and asks, “How would you know ‘that’?”

“My Altimeter tells me so” he says, showing the altimeter in his watch. The man willcasually take a look at his watch, following which the watch itself will be shown in atight close up. The Altimeter feature of the watch will be clearly communicated withthe ‘reading’ on the watch’s display. Droplets of water can be seen on the display of the watch..

She has an impressed look on her face. She asks the teasing question: “What elsedoes it say?”

Without breaking a sweat he casually replies, “It says I’ve got nice timing.”

Right then, another woman surfaces from behind the man. She reaches out frombehind, quickly sliding her arm on his watch-wearing arm from beneath. “Nicewatch.”

The man can’t help but smirk. The three of them float around and the camera startstracking out from them. As we track out, it is revealed that the water body theywere in was not an ocean, but an infinity pool on top of a high-rise building. Ahelicopter shot of the three in the infinity pool will then capture the larger than lifemoment, concluding the ad brilliantly.

In the same concluding frame, the Timex Altimeter Watch will be introduced withthe super ‘Timex: Conversation starters’. The infinity pool and skyscrapers will be inthe background, out of focus.

Music

The music in the film needs to be conceived with the following things kept inconsideration:

Page 5: Timex Redone

- It has to maintain the solemnity of the infinite space underwater.- It has to fittingly aid the graceful movements of the characters.- Has to have a light, minimal and poetic approach that will substantiate the artisticvisuals.- It has to imbibe a ‘flirtatious’ streak to complement the role play and bodylanguage of the characters.
