Writing Mission: 30 minutes
Your mission today is to write an adventure story for the Easter Bunny. You can choose from the 3 options below, or make up your own. We are happy for you to dictate the story to an adult and they can write the story too. Today I would like you to try to use the following words and phrases. Once up a time-Later that day-Suddenly-Unfortunately-Luckily-In the end Idea 1: The Easter Bunny wakes up ready to take his Easter eggs for the little children and hide them. Unfortunately, the eggs have been stolen!!! Who took the eggs? Was it all a mistake? Where were they found? Idea 2: The Easter bunny falls down into a foxes den and only has a shot amount of time to escape. How does she escape? Does someone help her? Does she managed to deliver and hide the eggs? Idea 3: The Easter bunny has a family and tucks them into bed. He leaves all of the eggs next to the door ready for the next day. Unfortunately, when he wakes up the next day all he sees are empty wrappers. Who ate the eggs? What will he do now? Where can he get more eggs from?

After 24 hours remove the eggs. The children will observe that the eggs have changed colour. Now the children should use an old toothbrush and toothpaste to brush one of the eggs. Once this has been done the children are to think about the following. Can the children draw a picture of both eggs after the experiment and write down or discuss what they noticed. Can they answer the question, “Does tooth paste really work? “
