About Jasper Hall
Jasper Hall is a communal living group, and well-developed Permaculture
survival farm near Byron Bay indeed possibly one of the best examples in
Australia of the paradise that Permaculture promises.
Jasper Hall is situated in a stunning valley surrounded by lush World heritage
rainforests, 1000 meters near the famous Minyon Falls.
Established in 1996, our community is moving towards becoming self-
supporting, self-managing, and self-sufficient, with an aim of becoming
completely ecologically, economically, and socially sustainable.
Some statistics: 42 acres with 1492 fruit trees, 500 clumps of bamboos (110
species), 9152 rainforest trees, 1000 cabinet timbers, 2 acres of herb and
vegetable gardens. Total Labor input 1997- May 2010: 203.000 hours.
