Our range includes:

TimberTimbmet offers one of the most comprehensive ranges of hardwoods and clear softwoods available in the UK, with over 40 species available both in sawn loose and in packs. All of our products are responsibly sourced, with many certified species available. Our sawn selected orders are hand-picked by our skilled staff, turning and selecting to meet customer requirements.

Red GrandisOur supplier relationships enable us to place exclusive products into the UK market such as Red Grandis.

Timbmet is the UK’s exclusive supplier of Red Grandis. Red Grandis is a high performance FSC® 100% certified uniform hardwood timber sourced from Uruguay. Plantation grown Red Grandis offers versatility and continuity of supply.

This easily stained durable timber provides a cost effective alternative to Sapele or Meranti. Red Grandis is available as sawn timber, machined mouldings, TEC® engineered components, bespoke components and moulding and pack deals.

Engineered Timber (TEC®)Timbmet Engineered Components (TEC®) are highly engineered wood products designed to combine high performance with aesthetic appeal.

Available in a variety of species TEC®

products are multi-layered to provide stability, free from natural defects and uniform in performance and appearance. The engineering process results in 30% less waste and lower associated costs.

Cladding & ShinglesTimbmet offer a range of Cladding and Shingles, in a number of standard profiles and species.

Our Timclad Spruce cladding range is factory painted to the colour of your choice. We also offer PEFC certified cladding and shingles.

Bespoke cladding and other species are available on request.

Fire Retardant ProductsTimbmet, working in partnership with Lonza Wood Protection, are aware that protecting against the threat of fire is one of the most critical elements of a new build project.

As part of our commitment to quality and safety we offer a range of high performance fire retardant treated products using tried and tested fire retardant pressure treatments from Lonza.

DeckingA range of decking is available with FSC® certified hardwoods. Decking is available in standard sizes from stock or in bespoke profiles through our fast track service. We are also able to manufacture bespoke accessories.

Our range is endorsed through the Timber Decking and Cladding Association’s DeckMark® quality assurance scheme. Through our membership of TDCA we can provide professional installation advice and comprehensive product support.

FlooringOur premium flooring product range is suitable for commercial and domestic use. Made from solid or engineered hardwood, our flooring is available in a choice of finishes; unfinished, oiled or lacquered, to suit all types of sub floor and installation.

We also stock a comprehensive range of flooring accessories, from underlays, adhesives, trims and thresholds, through to finishing oils and post-installation cleaners.

Doors & DoorblanksTimbmet stock and supply a range of doors and doorblanks, including interior and exterior products with various levels of fire, acoustic and thermal performance levels suitable for a wide range of applications. Brands available include Vicaima, Halspan and Blankfort.

Marine PlywoodTimbmet offer a range of Marine Plywoods manufactured to BS1088-1:2003. In addition to our standard ranges of Marine Plywood, Timbmet can also supply a variety of bespoke Marine Panels to order.

MDF ProductsWe stock a comprehensive range of MDF products from all the main manufacturers including Medite, Kronospan, Finsa, Spanolux and Caber Pro and Trade MDF from Norbord. All MDF is either FSC® or PEFC certified and meets the E1 standard for formaldehyde emissions.

Oriented Strand BoardOur BBA approved OSB (Oriented Strand Board), uses up to 50 layers of wood strands compressed under great heat to produce a board that is exceptionally strong and contains no voids, knots or soft spots.

Other Panel Products In addition to our main panel product ranges, we also supply P2 Furniture Grade Chipboard for use in interior applications, Flooring Grade Chipboard, Sundeala board and HDF/hardboard.

Natural Edged Slabs Timbmet are proud to be the exclusive UK supplier of CoastEco Timber’s Natural Edge Slabs, harvested from under Panama’s Lake Bayano.These are stunning solid timber statement pieces. Each slab is unique, displaying the natural characteristics of the timber. Due to the originality of the slabs, each piece is priced individually. Available in a range of exotic timbers, each slab is unique.

PlywoodPlywood is one of the most widely used panels products. It is resistant to cracking, shrinking and twisting/warping, and has a general high degree of strength. Timbmet’s range of plywoods include: Birch, Hardwood/Tropical, Poplar, Softwood and Flexible Plywood.

Melamine & Laminate BoardsTimbmet’s wide range of Melamine Faced Chipboard (MFC) and MDF based panels provide a hard, pre-finished surface, easy to maintain and extremely hardwearing. With a huge choice of finishes available, whatever the texture, effect or colour you require, we will have a product to suit.

We offer an extensive range of Egger, Greenlam and Kronospan boards, and also stock Aquamura wall panelling, Decogloss, Finsa and KoskiDecor melamine and laminate boards.

Timbmet are market leaders in our commitment to the sustainability and legality of our supply base and responsible business solutions.

We have been independently audited to ensure we are compliant with the European Timber Regulation (EUTR), both as an operator and a trader. Timbmet are members of the Timber Trade Federation (TTF) and have signed up to their Responsible Purchasing Process (RPP).

We fully support independent third party certification schemes of timber products such as FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) and PEFC (Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification) as the best way to demonstrate compliance with the EUTR and the RPP.

We are committed to increasing the proportion of our purchasing that is certified. Where certification is not available we investigate the origin via a robust Due Diligence process.

Profiles & MouldingsTimbmet offer a vast selection of industry standard profiles and a range of pre-fabricated mouldings from stock. Bespoke profiles and mouldings are also available on request.

Veneered BoardsWe are the biggest distributor of Veneered Boards in the UK, stocking an enormous variety of cuts and colours across a range of high quality boards.

To complement Timbmet’s standard range of veneered boards, we can also offer Flexi Veneer, Finsa Iberpan® 400, Jumbo Sized and Lacquered Boards, Decospan’s Querkus and Look’Likes collections, and Veneered Plywood.

WorktopsOur solid hardwood worktops are high grade and finger jointed, with 40mm wide staves.Timbmet’s Beech and Oak worktops are made from FSC® certified timbers.

Manufacturing and FinishingTimbmet offers a full range of bespoke manufacturing services including the ability to mould, lacquer, stain, prime and CNC to your exact requirements.

From our on-site facilities, we are able to manufacture sawn raw material from stock, or source specific species, and quality criteria. These range from basic Red Hardwood mouldings to external decking or internal high quality Oak products.

We understand there are situations when something is required urgently, so, when time is tight a ‘Quick Mill’ service is available, designed to assist when the pressure is on.

Our specialist teams are on hand to provide technical advice and expertise, working with you from your initial requirements through to the finished article.

We welcome trade customers both large and small, but can offer better value for money through our Pack Deals. Our online iPack system allows you to match pack specifications against your specific requirements, helping you to minimise waste. The system shows you the Timbmet stock in real time, so you can use Timbmet’s stock as your own.

Pack Deal

UK CoverageTimbmet offers UK-wide coverage via our network of depots, supported by our central Shellingford Distribution Centre in Oxfordshire and our milling facility at Timbmet Glasgow.

Our depots are located in Basildon (Essex), Borehamwood (North London border), Larkfield (Kent), Poole (Dorset) and Stonehouse (Gloucester). Timbmet can deliver your order or you can collect it from one of our depots, offering you the choice.
