THICKNESS CONTROL With moisture vapour protection akn to premium moisture

membranes, it's the go-to chemistry for the ultimate in

installation protection and simplicity. When combined with

Bostik's patent-pending Thickness Control™ spacer technology,

AXIOS' performance is equivalent to the sound dampening

properties of rubber and cork underlay.

THE SCIENCE BEHIND THE TECHNOLOGYMost hardwood adhesive today contain linear polymer chains

that link to other molecules only at each end. AXIOS™ Tri-Linking™

Polymer Technology uses a revolutionary molecule that has

three branches similar to a tripod. This allows each molecule to

bond in three locatiions instead of only two, making the adhesive

bond stronger.

Tri-Linking™ polymers are also more "entangled" because of their

unique shape (think of how tangled a bowl full of miniature tripods

would be). this entanglement creates a tightly interwoven layer

that significantly inhibits water molecules from passing through,

dramatically improving moisture vapor protection, sound

reduction, and strength.

ULTRASET HP HAS BEEN DESIGNED TO MAXIMISE SOUND DAMPENING OF TIMBER FLOORS

Ultraset HP has been tested to ensure compliance to BCA (Building Code Australia) requirements for sound transfer between dwellings.

When tested to ISO-140 and 712 as part of a complete flooring solution, Ultraset HP reduces sound transfer by up to 17db which exceeds the BCA requirements of 52db.

DESCRIPTIONBostik Ultraset DX is a single pack, semi rigid, low foaming, quick setting, moisture curing polyurethane adhesive. When fully cured, this adhesive provides a very strong bond with excellent resistance to water and many chemicals. Variations in temperature and relative humidity can significantly impact the working/open time of product.Refer to table below as an example. Before commencing any job refer to product TDS for more information.

PREP WORKAll surfaces should be level, dry, smooth and clean from contaminates such as dust, dirt, grease, paint and old adhesives. Prior to installation, check any sub floors such as concrete or structural timber are constructed according to ATFA and BCA guidelines. As per ATFA recommendations, ensure the correct application of self levelling underlayments and vapour barriers when required. Visit www.bostik.com.au for our range of floor levellers and vapour barrier products.

ADHESIVEUsing the recommended trowel, spread out approximately one metre of adhesive from the starter row and immediately begin installing the flooring. Hot and humid conditions reduce the working time and cold and dry conditions extend the working time. All adhesives should be wet to the touch during installation. Ensure constant weight pressure is maintained on the freshly laid flooring until adhesive cures. Refer to ATFA guidelines.

CLEAN UPBecause adhesives may bond to the surface of pre-finished flooring and tools you should clean up the adhesive residue as you work using Bostik Handi-Clean towels. Try to avoid having to clean cured material from pre-finished flooring. Ultraset HP has been identified as the easiest adhesive to clean up for pre-finished timber flooring.
