NYU Stern School of Business

I began my career as a Mechanical Design Engineer on the
NASA spacesuit. I designed the Active Thermal Control Valve to
regulate suit temperature using the astronaut’s metabolism and
my research was presented at Johnson Space Center.

at a small company that sold
high-tech building

who designed buildings
Then I sold the equipment to

The mission of Brown University’s
Inman Page Black Alumni Council
(IPC) is to address the needs of
black alumni, broaden opportunities
for the black community, maximize
black alumni participation, and
collaborate with other organizations
In 2014, I became the youngest
President of IPC by 13 years
All of the prior Presidents had
graduated in the 1970s or 1980s
Being a younger President has
helped me bridge the gap between
current students and alumni Brown Univ.

IPC’s Objectives for 2014-16
IPC’s objectives for 2014-2016 are to:
sustain more local chapters, refine the alumni-student
mentoring program, provide support to current students,
and maintain a strong online presence using e-mail,
web and social media communication
It was the largest affinity group reunion in Brown’s
history and helped raise over $300,000 for the
Endowed Scholarship Fund
I used my skills and passion to implement an innovative
approach to bring hundreds of alumni and students
together for a Black Alumni Reunion at Brown
