Thuthukani Electrical Control and Instrumentation is based in Johannesburg and was established in 2013 in partnership with Thuthukani Consulting Engineers and Project Managers which forms part of the Thuthukani group of companies.

We provide engineering and project management services to the mining and industrial sector with a focus on the African continent.

7.7 Earthing and Lightning Protection Services: -

Earthing systems are the basis of electrical safety and need to be well maintained, inspected and tested on a regularly, to determine the current state of the installation and if any erosion of the earth electrode system has taken place.

Lightning Protection systems provide protection for people, buildings/structures and sensitive electronic equipment. The failure of a Lightning Protection system can result in fatal injuries to many people and/or costly repairs to buildings/structures and equipment.

Our services include but are not limited to the following:

Conduct earthing and lightning risk assessment in accordance with IEC 62305

Conduct conformance testing and provide certification.

Annual testing and certification of earthing systems
