Turnaround CEO Panelists: Tim Spring, CEO, Marcal Manufacturing, LLC Tim Spring is a consumer package goods turnaround specialist with 25 years of experience spanning a wide range of consumer products. In addition to currently leading the Marcal post-bankruptcy turnaround, he has previously led the post-bankruptcy turnaround of the Vlasic division of Pinnacle Foods; led the revitalizations and turnarounds of Log Cabin and Mrs. Butterworth’s; and revitalized French’s, Bagel Crisps, Easy-Off , and Airwick brands. Daryl Brewster, Chairman & CEO, Brookside Management Daryl Brewster, a 25-year veteran of the food business, has a deep track record of restructuring troubled operations to improve margins, generate growth, and build global brands. He has previously led turnaround efforts at Krispy Kreme as CEO, and served as President at each of Nabisco, Planters Nuts Specialty Products, and Favorite Brands International. Carter Pennington, CEO, Cardinal Strategy Group LLC Carter Pennington has 25 years of experience navigating companies through operational turnaround and restructuring. He assumes leadership roles in distressed and underperforming companies, serving as interim CEO, CRO, CFO, or as a strategic advisor, working side-by-side with company management to create change and increase stakeholder value. Mr. Pennington has most recently served as CFO and CRO for Nina Footwear and previously as restructuring advisor to WorldCom, Parmalat, and Exide Technologies.
