Harrods, London The most famous department store in the world is without a doubt Harrods in London. Located outside the Knightsbridge tube station, Harrods is one of London’s most famous and most visited attractions. With over 300 stores, Harrods provides pretty much everything you need, from food to clothes to electronics and home appliances. There’s so much to look at and there are over 5000 staff members available to help you customers out. Services like a beauty spa and salon are also lurking around this famous department store. And when you’re tired of shopping and need a bit of a break, chill out at one of the many food courts. They serve a variety of foods so whatever you’re craving, you’ll most likely find it at Harrods. But then again, it could make it even harder for you to decide… . Even if you’re not all that into shopping, it’s still worth a visit as a tourist attraction, however, be aware that there is a certain dress code when entering Harrods. They have been known to turn people away who aren’t dressed appropriately… Make sure you’re not one of those people! 2. 10 Corso Como Italy is one of the main fashion spots in the world, and Milan caters to that quite nicely. The 10 Corso Como was first established as an art gallery and bookstore in 1990. The following year, clothing and accessory boutiques were added and in 1999, the Corso Como café and restaurant was opened. With a wide range of clothes, bags, shoes and more, all a part of the current trends of course, 10 Corso Como ensures that any shopaholic will be able to fulfil their ‘retail therapy’ sessions here. There is also an outdoor café for when you need to energise yourself, and the street offers a lovely view. Also, if you’re shopping with a budget, the nearby Corso Como Outlet offers some of their collections at reduced prices so you’re bound to find something there! 3. Galeries Lafayette The Galeries Lafayette is found in Paris, and it is one of the most popular department stores in the city. Beginning as a small fashion outlet, the store quickly grew and developed, with a glass dome and art nouveau staircase added to the building. The home of the latest styles and trends, you are able to find many current collections here, whether it is for fashion, jewellery, cosmetics and more. It is often overflowing with shoppers, and many tourists come to Galeries Lafayette just to appreciate the incredible architecture that is so impressive, some parts of the shopping centre have been branded as historical sites.
