SAM UPDATE: JANUARY 2018 Dearfriends,WhataChristmas!MarywaswhizzedintohospitalonChristmasEvewithbreathingdifficulties.Wewerefasttrackedandwithinhourswereinthehospitalward.Excellenttreatment,andsheisnowhome.Lotofteststocome.
Three lovely pictures about our work TheKindergarten.IsawafieldfullofCassavasticks.Cassavaisarootvegetable,whichgrowsatthebottomofatallcane.Topropagate,wejustbreakoffabitofthecane,plantitandwithinafewmonthswehavenewCassava.ThisistheKindergarten.Wewillbegivenlotsofchildren,whichwecangrowonintobeautifulGhanaiansRuthHouse.IsawawaterfallpouringintoRuthHouseandthenoutintothesurroundingarea.Weknowthatwehaveonlyjustbegunthispieceofwork,butarethrilledtothinkthatithasamuchwiderfunction.The“RuthHouseFoundation”hasabigparttoplayhere.Belovedschool.Isawahugelighthousestandingonthefoundationsanditslightradiatedfarandwide.Thisjustconfirmswhatwebelieve-theschoolhasabigparttoplayinthelifeofGhana.ThebuildingworkfortheKindergartenisunderway.TheShelterisnowbuiltandjustneedsfittingout.Thefoundationsoftheschoolwillbecompletedinthenextfewmonths.MaryandIhopetoreturntoGhanainMarch,August,OctoberandDecember.
