Announcements and Welcome

Breakthrough Prayer

Abundant God, we are bursting with anticipation to see the new that you have in store for Faith Church and our community.

Thunder forth your will for fresh possibilities! You say in your word,

“See I am about to do something new. It begins now! Don’t you see it?” (Is. 43:19)

Lord, help us to see clearly the next steps on your path. Amen.

♫ Prelude

Call to Worship

Sing psalms, hymns and sacred songs;

Let us sing to God with thanksgiving in our hearts.

Let everything we do or say be done in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Giving thanks to God through Jesus Christ.

-Adapted from Colossians 3:16-17.

Hymn “I Love You Lord” (3x’s) (Insert) PB 67

Prayer

Lord, so often after we have come to accept Your gifts of love, we then begin to believe You have given us salvation because we actually are better than others and our way of doing things is more correct than the ways of others. Forgive us, Lord, and

UMW 2017 Reading Program

We are happy to announce that we have chosen all the books for the book club meeting dates for the rest of the year. We are attempting to find copies of the books so more ladies can join the reading program. See Vickie Fin-lay, Barb Wolfe or Pastor Joy if you have any questions.

September 25th at 6:30 p.m. – The Perfect Place, written by Teresa E. Harris. Mission Emphasis: Nurturing for Community.

November 27th at 6:30 p.m. – Be-hind the Kitchen Door, written by Saru Jayaraman. Mission Emphasis: Social Action.

Wednesday Night Study Group

Beginning Wednesday, September 13th, at 6pm, we will

begin studying the book The Jesus You Can’t Ignore: What

you must learn from the bold confrontations of Christ, by

John Macarthur. From the back cover:

Our view of Jesus affects the way we view God, the

world, ourselves, and every one of our decisions…

Like an investigative journalist on a mission, best

selling author and teacher John MacArthur walks

through the gospel records and shows you a re-

markable and compelling picture of the Jesus you

can’t ignore.

This study will last eight (8) weeks and anyone who is curi-

ous or interested should come! Please see Pastor Joy if

you have questions or would like to review the materials.

*Start time of meetings may change.
