This will explain how to make an online assignment using Skyward.  Students need to know how to log

into their Skyward account to complete this

assignment.

Things to KnowTEACHERS - Student IDs and Passwords are on the student information page. Click on the boy/girl next to their name in your gradebook, and then you will see the correct information. I have found that a few students can't log into Skyward. If this happens, you need to call the helpdesk. (6-5544) In case this happens, I would have a hard copy of the assignment ready to go! Please let me know if you need help!

Most of our students do not know they have this password, so you might want to have all of their IDs and Passwords ready before you give the assignment. Student login uses the first 5 letters of their last name. If they only have three letters in their last name, they need to add two spaces in their login. If they have two letters in their last name, they need to add three spaces.

1.   Open one of your classes2.  Click "Other Access"

 

3.  Click "Online Assignment Templates"

 

4.  Click "Skyward Default" so it's highlighted5.  Click "Apply Filter"

6.  Click "Add"

 

7.  Name the template8.  Check the boxes you want for your test

 

9.  Click "Save and Add Questions"

10.  Choose the type of question you want for your        test11. Type your questions and answers

 

12.  Check the correct answer13.  Click "Save and Add Another"

 

14.  Repeat adding questions15.  When you are finished typing the questions       and answers, click "Save and Back" 

16.  You can edit/delete the questions if necessary

 

17.  Click "Back"

 

18.  Click "Assignments"

 

19.  Click "Add Assignment"

 

20.  Go to "Options"

 

21.  Click "Copy From My Online Assignment        Template" 

22.  Highlight "Practice Test" (or the name of the test       you want to add)23.  Click "Clone to Assignment" 

24.  Change the dates to the days you want your       test to START AND END25.  Name your assignment 

26.  Click "Save and Back"

 

27.  Change your categories28.  Change your due dates29.  Check the classes  you want the assignment       available to 

30.  Click "Save and Back"

 

31.  Their test score will automatically go into your       Skyward Gradebook

 

32.  Now your students can see the assignment online, BUT they need to know how to log into Skyward! 

1.  Students need to get to the page below2.  Click "FAMILY MANAGEMENT"

 

3.  Students type their Login and Password4.  Click "Login"

 

5.  Students click "Current Assignments"

 

6.  Click "Answer Questions"

 

7.  Student check the correct answer8.  Click "Next Page" to continue with the assignment

9.  When students finish they need to click "Save         and Complete Assignment" - if they don't do this         you will not get their score! 

This explains how students can change their

passwords

1.  Have students open their Skyward account     to this page2.  Click "Account Info" 

3.  Click "Change My Password"

 

How to Print Online Skyward Assignments
