STORYTIME Songs and Rhymes!
ELEPHANTS DON’T FORGET
Elephant’s walking along the trails
Are holding hands by holding tails.
Baby elephant’s trunk begins to slip,
Mama elephant says “Don’t forget to grip.”
Baby elephant.
And elephants walk and feel so gay.
And when they walk it never fails
They’re holding hands by holding tails.
Week of

This week’s
theme:
Elephants
E 5 LITTLE ELEPHANTS
5 little elephants went out to play.
Over the hills and far away.
Mama elephant said, “Don’t forget to
come back.”
But only 4 came trudging back.
Repeat for 4, 3, 2, 1
Mama elephant cried, “Now we can’t
be a pack.”
And all 5 little elephants came trudging
back.
THE ELEPHANT
The elephant goes like this and that
(On all fours, moving around
slowly, like an elephant)
He’s very, very big,
(Standing up, reach arms high)
And he’s very, very fat.
(Stretch arms out to the sides,
to show how fat elephant is)
He probably wouldn’t make a very
good pet.
(wag finger “no-no”)
But he never never never never ever
forgets.
(point to head)
He has no fingers,
(Fisted hands, hiding fingers)
He has no toes,
(Wiggle toes)
But goodness gracious,
What a nose!
(Thumb to nose and wiggle fingers,
as if extending trunk)
AN ELEPHANT GOES LIKE
THIS AND THAT
An elephant goes like this and
that
He’s terribly big, and he’s terribly
fat
He has no fingers, he has no toes,
But goodness gracious, what a
nose!
