She has been “the Mrs.” for 40 years (definitely a child bride), raised two daughters and one son and been her pastor/husband’s ministry partner. Having grown up in the church, she welcomes opportunities to share how her journey with Jesus prepared her to deal with her cancer diagnosis in 2012 and most recently the tragic death of her first grandchild. Cindy incorporates laughter and humor into every area of her life. She works as a patient service representative for the Cleveland Clinic’s Twinsburg Family Health Center and enjoys reading fiction, playing the piano, coffee, chocolate, eating out and naps…in any order. Ministry Opportunity

GEMS– Golden Encouragement Ministries

Announcing a new ministry to those of us who have a heart for the elderly and home bound. GEMS will begin in June.

We have adopted a Senior Living Care/Memory Care Facility, Maplewood Senior Living at Heather Hill in Chardon

where we will be visiting residents weekly.

To prepare for this new ministry, there will be a training session on Saturday, May 31 from 9am to 11:30am

with registration at 8:30am. Chaplain Bill Goodrich from God Cares Ministry

will be the instructor.

COME TO THE FIRE Women’s Conference

October 2-4

Registration is going on for the fall conference, Come to the

Fire, in Grove City, Ohio. Our theme: “Embrace the Cross.”

Brochures are available at the Women’s Ministry table in the

foyer. Stop by to get more information. $50 required at

registration. 50% balance is due by May 18. Hurry and

register today! Registration deadline is approaching fast.

Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath

Bike Ride and Hike This church wide event will be Saturday,

June 7th. Flyer with all details will be

available this week. Mark this date on

your calendar and join us for a fun day of biking and hiking and

even a train ride if you wish.

Young Adults Married and Single Plan to join us for a PICNIC on Sunday, June 8 at the Twin Ponds

Shelter off Hobart Road in Kirtland. Time: 4pm to 8pm. Bring a

side dish to share and beverage. Ball field, playground, walking

trails, etc. Sign up at the information center as soon as possible.

Child Dedication If you are interested in having your child dedicated to the Lord

on a Sunday morning, please pick up a child dedication form

from the literature rack in the foyer. Complete the form and

drop in the office drop next to the office door.

Volunteer Needed Looking for help running our CD Ministry. Must have basic PC

skills. Contact [email protected] for details.

Volunteers Needed Children’s Ministries is in need of summer volunteers for the

10:45 service. The following are our needs:

1 Adult – Nursery 1 Adult – Pre-K 1 Adult – Game Room

It is important to have these positions filled as soon as possible

in order to keep all of our classrooms open and operating.

Baptismal Service will be on Sunday, June 29 during the
