HARMONY 2017 The theme for 2017 at Harmony Baptist Church is “CONNECT”. We are going to pur-sue paths and processes that connect each of us to God and to each other. It will be our passion to make sure we are intentional about connect-ing everyone to a small group. A small group is any group of people who meet regularly for the purpose of growing in Christ and reaching the lost. Everyone needs to be connected and at-tached; first to God through Jesus Christ and then to each other. We will pursue and love one another so we can be a church that is dy-namic and passionate about being Christ cen-tered living out what we believe. We must stay connected so we can enthusiastically share the Gospel where we live, work, and play.

CONNECT The Lord has laid upon my heart the need to emphasize and develop processes that connect each person at Harmony Baptist Church. That means connecting members and connecting people who visit. That means becoming a vibrant Christ centered community by connecting to God and to one another. It is a continual process: we connect to God, we connect to one another, and we connect to God. And it con-tinues. Like a rhythmic upward spiral. We connect with God by connecting with one another by connecting to God. That means we must strive to con-nect each person to the body of Jesus Christ - the church. One of the key purposes of being connect-ed is to “grow in Christ”. Each of us journey through the sanctifica-tion process where we become more like Jesus Christ so we can glorify God and reach those who don’t have a relationship with Jesus Christ. At Harmony we say “grow in Christ and reach the lost”. Another purpose of being connect-ed is so we can be encouraged to share the Gospel where we live, work, and play. In a world where there is constant pressure to deny Jesus Christ, being connected helps to develop resolve to stand firm, and courage to be bold in our wit-ness. Another purpose of being connect-ed is so we can be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. This Christmas the people of Harmony made an impact in our local community with acts of kindness, and we are now in the process of making an impact globally. So, how are you connected at Har-mony?
