While it was still dark, God rolled away the stone and called forth life. With hope and amazement, we come before the God of light and life in prayer -
Unison Prayer O God, may all praise your name, for you have brought life out of death and hope out of despair. You have raised Jesus Christ from the dead to be the first resurrection and the promise of your victory of love over evil. Wise God, you know our doubts, our fears, and our failures, which we bring to the tomb on Easter morning. Through your Spirit, nurture the birth of hope, courage, and faith within us that we may forever live to praise and serve you, in the name of Jesus Christ, in whom we pray. Amen.
WE CLAIM THE PROMISE OF HOPE AND LOVE

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. OPPORTUNITIES
1st Sunday Mission of the Month: Native American Ministries Today Native Americans—with many unique languages, many unique cultures—honor their heritage and live as Jesus followers, led by a rotation of primarily Native American pastors. When you support Native American Ministries, you equip seminary students who will honor and celebrate Native American culture in their ministries. CUMC—Be THEIR Gift in 2018. March Pantry: Diapers: size 4,5,6 for MAP Babies quickly grow out of the small-sized of diapers that are most commonly donated to MAP. Very few donations of the larger sizes -- 4,5,& 6 -- come in. CUMC gave a large donation last year that is almost gone. Can we collect 420 diapers in the 3 sizes combined? (Mathematically: 1 child changed 4 times a day, times 7 days a week equals 28 diapers a week. Fifteen children would use 420 diapers a week.) Show your love for children, CUMC.
- BBQ for Camp programs after worship April 22nd - Food Truck April 23rd 5 p.m. - Unity Service at Crestwood UMC April 29th at 11 a.m. - Mission Trip June 17-21 to Cass Community

Organ Update The upgrade project for our organ is now complete. Over the last 3 months work has been done to replace the mechanical memory component installed in 1965 with the rebuilt and enlarged organ with current technology, a
solid state system. The old system was becoming increasingly unreliable over the last two years, many times failing during services. The work was completed last week and we now have a system that should last us many years into the future. The new memory component will make it much easier to handle the many services, programs, and organists we have at Central throughout the year. A very big thank you to Juanita Joiner for providing the funds for this work in memory of her parents. We are truly blessed for all that she does in so many areas of the church.
