PLEASE MEETRaising Cane’s Chicken Fingers® (Opening October 29, 2015)Mica Brandt3170 Harbor BlvdCosta Mesa, CA 92626www.raisingcanes.com
It began as a college dream -- a vision of a restaurant that served high quality chicken finger meals and nothing else. From this vision, Todd Graves created a business plan that ironically earned the lowest grade in the class. The professor said the concept would never work.
Undaunted, the young entrepreneur presented his business plan to any banker that would see him. Each time, he received the same negative response. Eventually, Graves knew he would need to raise his own capital to achieve his dream.
This journey led Graves first to Los Angeles, where he worked as a boilermaker in an oil refinery; then to Alaska to earn money in commercial salmon fishing. Once he secured the needed capital, he returned to Baton Rouge and reconstructed an old building with his own hands into the first Raising Cane’s restaurant. In a moment of inspiration, he named the restaurant after his faithful yellow lab…Raising Cane.
Since that single restaurant opening in 1996 at the gates of LSU, Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers® has grown to more than 230 restaurants in 20 states, with multiple new restaurants under construction. Raising Cane’s now ranks as of one of the fastest growing privately owned companies in the U.S.
The company is entering the California market for the first time in the fall of 2015, with new restaurants in Costa Mesa and Alisa Viejo. Several more are in the pipeline elsewhere in Orange County.
The concept is focused and unique. Raising Cane’s has only ONE LOVE® – quality chicken finger meals. At Cane’s, you get an exceptionally high quality product served quickly and conveniently. The company steadfastly refuses to compromise on quality, cut corners or clutter the menu with new products that do not fit its core menu offering.
The fun surroundings, friendly crew and rather offbeat managerial style are all part of the Cane’s culture and experience.
The brand even has its own legion of rabid fans, known as “Caniacs,” who speak with great affection about the fresh, never ever frozen chicken fingers, Texas toast, secret-recipe (some say “addictive”) Cane’s sauce, coleslaw, crinkle-cut fries, sweet tea and fresh-squeezed lemonade.
The rapidly growing chain recently earned the distinction of being among the top four quick service restaurant chains in the nation for 2014, according to the authoritative Sandelman & Associates Quick-Track study, based on food quality, customer service, cleanliness and other important factors.
Active community involvement is an integral part of Raising Cane’s DNA, because Graves and his crewmembers recognize that their success is made possible by the communities that support them. Over the years, Graves and Raising Cane’s have given more than 25 percent of their profits back to the communities where they operate. The company’s focuses its giving on five areas: Education, Feeding the Hungry, Pet Welfare, Active Lifestyles and Business Development/Entrepreneurship.
Raising Cane’s vision is to have restaurants all over the world and be the brand for quality chicken finger meals, a great crew, cool culture and active community involvement.

Rance’s Chicago Pizza is a new and insanely popular pizza purveyor in Costa Mesa, CA. Rance’s was founded by two local best friends, Rance Ruiz (Food/Operations) and Aaron Tofani (Business/Marketing). Rance has mastered three unique styles of pizza: Stuffed, Pan (Deep Dish) and Tavern (Thin) with a variety of appetizers and super-fresh salads to compliment the pizza. All sauces, dough and even salad dressings are house-made from scratch. The food is so good, many people say it has changed their life now that they can get quality deep dish and thin pies in Orange County. Rance’s offers 18 craft beers on tap, a variety of wines, and large TVs throughout making it a perfect destination to watch sporting events. With the NFL Sunday Ticket, you can catch any NFL game at Rance’s this season.
Rance’s often fills very large orders for company lunch parties and personal parties for those that want the best pizza possible for their employees, friends, and family. Another very interesting offering from Rance’s is their famous “Take & Bake” pies which are par-baked and finished cooking at home. These Take & Bake pies are great for parties and for trips to see friends or family, who will be stoked you brought the best pizza possible for them to enjoy. Be advised that deep dish pies take up to 40 minutes to cook so feel free to call in your order ahead of time, unless its Friday or Saturday evening because then the house will be packed. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Infinite You Meditation Studio Announces New Educational Classes Studio Expands Its Class Offerings for the Stressed Out Teenagers and Young Adults Heading Back to School COSTA MESA, CALIF. - Lionela Torriero, owner of Infinite You Meditation Studio www.infiniteyoumeditation.com in Costa Mesa, announced the launch of a series of educational classes designed to meet the specific needs and concerns of teenagers and young adults. Mel Geftar, a recent and highly-acclaimed graduate of the McLean Meditation Institute in Sedona, Arizona; has been hired to spearhead this new program. “One of the programs that Mel will be teaching is known as the “SEED” method (Simple Easy Everyday Method). This course will be perfect as your teens or college students prepare to go back to school. It will help teens build self-confidence, learn to focus (in ways that will help their studies), increase self-awareness, and learn empathy.
