Water supply (intake) in Kalevala townWater supply (intake) in Kalevala town Water intake was build in 1972 for military unit located in the town and reconstructed in 1990 as a temporary measure.Construction shape - satisfying, Mechanical equipment (pumps, etc.): 70% replacement , Electrical & measurement instrumentation: 100% replacement

Water intake problemsWater intake problems: : located in dirty, polluted zone of the Middle Kuito Lake. Water intake is very close to sewer outlet (200 m).

Plans for developmentPlans for development: : provision of a sanitary protection zone by removal of sinkhole toilets from water protection zone and removal of sewer outlet outside the settlement.

Years of installation and diameters:1970 - 79 - 0.1 km. - 150 mm, 1.5 km. - 200mm.1980 - 89 - 0.4 km. - 200mm.1990 - 99 - 0.3 km. - 150mm.The location of collection points: 1 point, Kalevala Soviet Str. for 1050 users. Own collection points have: secondary school, elementary school, Bath, District Culture Club, District administration.

Water supply and waste water treatment systems in KostomukshaWater supply and waste water treatment systems in Kostomuksha town town are in normal conditions in general.Main problems and plans are the following:Main problems and plans are the following:Electrical and heating energy consumptions in sewage treatment plant are very high in comparison with the same kind of plants in Russia. There is a plan for reconstruction of the plant -25 MRUB Reconstruction of the water supply pump station with a full replacement of equipment -5 MRUB.Depreciation of water supply networks is about 62 %, replacement of 6 km – 27 MRUB. Depreciation of canalization networks is about 68 %, replacement of 5 km-20 MRUB. 15% of pipes network was constructed in 1970-79 yearsReconstruction of the sludge pump house #14 for dehydration of sludge - 15 MRUB.
