150th Birthday Celebrations Calendar ✙✙✙✙✙✙✙ May 2016 - June 2017 You'll find St Oswald's Church on Main Street, Fulford, York, YO10 4HJ 1150: Original St Oswald's Church (now privately owned) was built in St Oswald's Road. 1866: the current St Oswald's Church was opened to replace the old one. 1971: the font was transferred from the old church to be used in this new building. The architect was J.P. Pritchett who is buried in York cemetery which he also designed. As with many places Fulford has changed a lot since the Victorian church was built 150 years ago. Once serving a a small village and outlying farms, the parish now reaches out to people from Crockey Hill in the south to New Walk Terrace in the north. St Oswald's - serving the community in many ways - some through......Noah's Ark which meets in term times onWednesdays from 1:45-3:00pm in the churchhall. It's a play session for babies, pre-schoolchildren and their parents/carers - with agreat array of toys, refreshments and goodcompany.

...Time Outwhich meets every 2ndThursday of the Month : 2.30pm to 4.00pm.An opportunity for elderly citizens in ourcommunity to meet together in the churchhall and enjoy an afternoon of fun,entertainment and home-made cake!

...the Youth Cafe - held in the church hall everyTuesday from 7-8:30pm. A place for youngpeople of school years 7-11 to gather, chat, chill,try their hands at games and enjoy tuck-shoptreats! And don't forget our Holiday clubevents for children aged 4-11 at Easter, in thesummer and at Christmas!
