This presentation will address life transitions from a mind/body/emotion lens. Attendees will learn what chronic anxiety is and its effects; the interactions of mind, body, and emotion; the way mindfulness helps to regain control; and a technique to help.

This lecture will inform, empower, and educate individuals in making appropriate financial decisions while planning for the future. We will discuss basic information in addressing and handling key concerns relating to budgeting cash flow, managing taxes, retirement planning and leaving a legacy. Additionally, we will address protecting yourself and your personal assets.

Maintaining your voice throughout treatment can be very challenging, especially when receiving multiple or conflicting directions from different medical professionals. A terminal or advanced diagnosis can be overwhelmingfor everyone involved. This discussion will help patients and families understand their rights and the laws that protect them. We will discuss how to designate a surrogate decision maker, and what happens if we don’t have time to do that. We will also discuss how to advocate for appropriate palliative care throughout cancer treatment.
