This document presents statistics about the 2016 event and shares data gathered from two post-eventsurveys where hundreds of attendees (both government delegates and exhibitors) voiced their opinions andgave a thorough assessment.

By all measures, ID4Africa 2016 was amilestone event that surpassedexpectations. Over three days, hundredsof attendees discussed, networked,witnessed, & learned about identitymatters during this intense & seminalevent. Its success is a testament to theimportance of identity and to the impacta grassroots movement could have onadvancing the collective knowledgearound identification in Africa.

This workshop explored the need and challenges increating a single identity management policy thatcovers both civil registration and national identityand the role this plays in implementing SustainableDevelopment Goal 16.9.

This session focused on the perspectives fromthe technology providers on methods ofensuring processes for safeguarding identitydevelopment to combat fraud and to secureproduction.

Post-event surveys collected quantitative data (in addition toqualitative) along 6 indicators that evaluate important aspects ofinterest to future attendees, exhibitors and sponsors. The datashows an exceptionally impactful event.
