This booklet contains a wide selection of excerpts from reviews of novels by Amos Oz. These reviews have appeared in the world press over the years since the publication of his first book, Where the Jackals Howl (1965), to the publication of his last novel to date, Judas (2014). This is not a bibliographic survey, but rather a glimpse into the manner in which Amos Oz’s novels were received around the world. Furthermore, the reviews show how the novels touch people’s hearts and influence their thoughts. Amos Oz’s Archive is part of The First Israelis Archives, which is located at Heksherim – The Research Institute for Jewish and Israeli Literature and Culture, headed by Professor Yigal Schwartz. The Heksherim Institute is situated at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Beer-Sheva. The First Israelis Archives serve as the only Visitor Center of the Hebrew Literary Archives of Israel. A visit to the Amos Oz Archive and the other archives housed at the Heksherim Institute includes a guided tour, and is available to individuals and groups.
