THIRTY-SECOND SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME First Reading: 2 Maccabees 7:1-2, 9-14 A king tortured a Jewish family, and tried to make them violate the laws. They all refused to give in and violate the laws. All of the family members told the king they would rather die at his hands than surrender their hope of being resurrected by God. Second Reading: 2 Thessalonians 2:16—3:5 Paul prays that the Thessalonians will be strengthened by God. He also asks them to pray that God's word will continue to spread, despite the persecution of Christians that was occurring at that time. Gospel: Luke 20:27-38 Jesus encountered some Sadducees who did not believe in resurrection. Jesus refuted them by quoting Moses, who called the Lord the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. with students receiving their Confirmation this school year 2013-14.

Holy Family Parish will offer a “Virtus, Protecting God’s Children for Adult Awareness session on the evening of Monday, November 18, 2013 in Memorial Hall at 7:00 p.m. Please use the large parking lot and enter the side door of the Church near the Holy Family statue garden. Saturday November 16 Mass and Rosary for the Unborn

Holy Family Parish Respect Life invites you to join them at the 8 a.m. Mass for the intention of the unborn followed by the Rosary for the Unborn. All are welcome.

Christmas Cards – November 23/24 St. Mary’s Respect Life Committee will be selling religious Christmas cards after all the Masses on Saturday November 23rd and Sunday November 24th. These beautiful cards are priced at a very affordable $6.00 per package of 10 cards. Proceeds from the sale will be used for Respect Life activities, including subsidizing the bus ride to Washington DC for the National March

for Life on January 22, 2014. Please help to keep Christ in Christmas and to spread the pro-life message.

RED BANK CATHOLIC CHOIR

AT CARNEGIE HALL – NOVEMBER 25 The Red Bank Catholic High School Choir will be performing, “The Song of Christmas” with other Christmas songs and carols at Carnegie Hall along with the American Festival Choir on Monday, November 25, at 8 p.m. The concert is presented by Celebration Concert Tours. SANDY LIVING EXPENSES VOUCHER PROGRAM DELIVERS RELIEF TO NJ’S WORKING FAMILIES

The Christie Administration announced a new $57 million Sandy Housing and Rental Assistance Program, “The Working Families Living Expenses Voucher Proghram.” The program will provide housing stability for individuals and families impacted by Superstorm Sandy and ensure that affected households have items essential for health & safety when they return to their home. SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2013 The Scouts of Pack and Troop 134 will be collecting food Saturday, November 9. They will collect door to door in Union Beach, and ask that you please have your donation outside your front door by 9 AM. Hazlet residents who wish to participate can drop off their donations in Memorial Hall between 9 and 3, or any time Sunday morning. Food will be donated to St. Vincent DePaul to supplement the food purchased for Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets that they distribute to needy families in the parish area. The Society maintains a Pantry in the Thrift Shop which is available to those in need throughout the year. Food not used in the holiday baskets will be used to restock the Pantry. Food will be collected RAIN OR SHINE. In case of bad weather please protect your donation with a plastic bag. Special needs include: canned cranberries, packaged stuffing mix and canned or packaged potatoes. Why not share the one item that makes your Holiday celebration special.

CUB SCOUT WREATH SALE NOVEMBER 9 & 10

Holy Family Cub Scout Pack 134, will be taking orders for there Mickman Brother Christmas Wreath Fundraiser on Nov. 9th and 10th, downstairs after each Mass. Wreathes will be available for pick up after all Masses the weekend of December 7 & 8.
