BAPTISMS
A MESSAGE FROM FATHER RICH
As we celebrate the Fourth of July this week, please consider attending Mass on Tuesday, July 4th as a way to give thanks to God for the great gift of freedom we have in this country. It is a gift that we take for granted and is something we should treasure. We may have differences in opinions but what a gift it is that we can express them.
Because the Fourth of July is on Tuesday there will be no Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, so you can enjoy time with your families and friends.
Have a great Fourth.
~ Father Rich

OUT AND ABOUT
DEACON NEAL’S REFLECTION CORNER
In today's Gospel, Jesus says that if you love your father, mother, son or daughter more than him that you are not worthy of him. He doesn't say not to love them, just don't put them ahead of God.
Sometimes we find ourselves loving someone or something more than God. What Jesus is telling us today is that we should make sure that we obey the greatest commandment. "You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your mind and with all your strength."
Now I ask the question, "Do we?" There are many times that I find myself being selfish with my time or I want to make sure that my needs are met first before I reach out to others. As we near the end of this Gospel today, Jesus says that if we give someone a cup of cold water because they belong to him, that we will not lose our reward. Everyone belongs to him. We are called to show our love for God by reaching out to others. That is what we are here for.
God Bless you all !! - Deacon Neal
