Congratulations
to our First Communicants, who received
the Body and Blood of Christ on Saturday, April 29th!
We pray that these young people and their
families will continue to draw strength and joy from the Sunday Eucharist!
Good News! Children’s Liturgy of the Word
will continue through the end of June! Sunday Mass is such an important part of family life, and we will continue to make our children feel welcome at mass, and help them participate and understand God’s Word. During the 9:15 mass we will dismiss the young people for their own “homily” and they will return around the time of the Creed. We will take a break from this ministry during July and Au-gust and pick up again after Labor Day.

Summary of Meeting
April 24, 2017
Present: Fr. Frank, Bill Hennessy, Barbara Johnston, Cheryl
and Jim MacDougall, John O’Hare, Liz and Ed Wascowiak.
Holy Week and the Triduum: The Committee has been working on these liturgies since the
fall. We are pleased that so many were able to participate in the masses and services this
year. We are especially grateful to the Altar servers who attended the rehearsals and served
prayerfully at each liturgy. The Committee has been attentive to the directives of the Church,
as listed in the Roman Missal, to ensure full participation and experience of the riches of
these sacred days.
Lent: Stations of the Cross was moved to Friday mornings, and 20-30 people were able to
attend. Again there was full participation and prayerfulness. Morning Prayer during the
Triduum was well-attended. We will use this as an opportunity to consider weekly Morning
Prayer on Fridays,.
Pastor Installation: The Committee will begin planning for the 11:15 mass on June 11th.
We will follow the Book of Blessings which describes the formal “welcome” of the pastor.
This occurs at the beginning of mass, led by the Dean of our area, Msgr. William Breslawski.
Looking Toward the Fall: Based on our positive experiences of Advent and Christmas, the
Committee will be working on strengthening the liturgies and investigating how to augment
our music and participation. We will also be getting a head start on Lent and the Triduum.

Three-Year Renewal of Eucharistic Ministers
Every three years the Bishop asks EM’s to reflect on
their ministry, and should they wish to ask the Bishop
to renew their mandate. All of our EM’s will be con-
tacted by Fr. Frank so that they can express their de-
sire to continue in this ministry. On the Feast of Cor-
pus Christi (June 18th) EM’s will be renewed at
masses.
