LITURGY OF THE WORD with Children
We are doing something EXCITING. At the
10:00 a.m. Mass children between the ages of 4
and 7 will be participating in a Liturgy of the
Word with Children. The children and their
leaders will come to the front and process out of Mass.
They will go to Haban Hall where they will listen to the
readings and participate in reflection on the readings,
prayers and singing, all designed for THEM. Confirmation
students will be assisting. We NEED volunteers to join this
happy and enthusiastic ministry. Please contact Dan
O’Connell 630-965-9142.
We welcome to God’s family:
Lucille Rose Powers
KINDNESS FOR KATRINA THANKS! The Bargender family would like to express our heartfelt
gratitude for your kindness. We are so thankful for the in-
credible love and support shared at the Kindness for
Katrina Event. Whether you attended the event, donated a
basket, purchased a dinner, a raffle item or baked some
delicious treats for the bake sale--we were blessed by your
generous contribution. The memories made will last a life-
time!
USHERS
We are in need of ushers for Masses on Christmas Eve, for
Christmas Day and New Years Eve and Day. Even if you
normally do not assist in ushering, please consider signing
up for one of the Masses to help out. Thank you.

PARENTING POINTERS The purpose of Advent is not to shop but to learn to wait.
Teaching your child to delay gratification is an important
life skill. Perhaps this W.A.I.T. acronym could help:
W - Waiting gives us time to make a good decision or buy
the right thing.
A - Anticipation can enhance appreciation.
I - Instant gratification is often fleeting.
T - Take stock of your blessings. What do you already
have?
WEEKEND MASS MINISTRIES We are in need of Altar Servers and Eucharistic Ministers at
many of our Masses. If you would like assistance using
Sign Up Genius, please contact Colleen Andersen.
[email protected] 262-497-7052.
If you would like to be trained to be a Lector, Eucharistic
Minister, or Altar Server, please contact the Parish Office
for training, and then Colleen can help you get started with
Sign up Genius. Thank you!
MARRIAGE MOMENTS "Be patient, brothers and sisters...Do not complain about
one another." (James 5: 7-9). Preparation for Christmas can
strain even the best relationships. Be gentle and patient with
each other as you do the many tasks to prepare for Christ-
mas.
