Being W.E.L.L.

A Note from Johnny… People daily are watching our lives and often base their idea of Christianity and the Church by watching our character. They watch to see how we respond to life’s situations and people.

The character the world ought to see in a Christian is the character of Christ revealed through the Spirit’s fruits. It should be normal for the child of God to bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit through their lives.

There is a great need in this world for the fruit of the Spirit to be seen through God’s people. When this is done, I believe we will see more people desiring the gift of salvation which is available to them through the grace of Christ. Sometimes the biggest hindrance to reaching those we know is that they know us and can’t get past our actions to see their need for Christ.

This coming Lord’s Day I will be sharing with you a message about how to get out of the way and allow the Lord to live and be made known. It is a message on brokenness.

I urge you to be present and see one of the things that keeps us from submitting to the work of the Holy Spirit is our need to be broken of ourselves.

I believe that the Lord will do something fresh in our lives this Lord’s Day.

We are at the end of VBS and it has been a great week. This Sunday many of the children will sing for us and many new faces may be in our midst. I know you will welcome them as you normally do.

Thank you teachers, leaders, and FBC staff for your help throughout this week!

I will be looking for you Sunday!
