We actually get to see thefamilies that we are helping. We have seta budget of $15,000.00 for this project andwould request a $100.00 donation from eachRotarian. Please help us make this a memo-rable Holiday experience for these needyfamilies.
News From DavidWilhelm
Many of you remember the fund raiserthat we held for Hunter Wilhelm. I think afew people lost hair over it! Well, the newsis that Hunter is doing great and they areabout to go back to NY for another cath. Ifeverything looks good he will be able to getrid of his central line and go on all oralmeds. This will be incredible for him andfree him up to go swimming and a lot moreactivities--which, according to David, willnot include soccer. Hunter did get to playfall baseball and he loved it! His brother,Hayden, seems to be the daredevil of thefamily and seems to keep them on theirtoes. So, great news for all of you thatworked on his fundraising efforts. Keep upthe good work, Hunter!

New Turkey RecipeYour dinner will be the talk of the town! You should try this! Sure to bring smilesfrom your guests! Here is a new way toprepare your Thanksgiving turkey…1. Cut out aluminum foil in desired shapes.2. Arrange the turkey in the roasting pan,
position the foil carefully. (see photo atright)
3. Roast according to your own recipe andserve.
4. Watch your guests’ faces…
May your stuffing be tastyMay your turkey plump,
May your potatoes and gravyHave never a lump.
May your yams be deliciousAnd your pies take the prize,
And may your Thanksgiving dinnerStay off your thighs!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving PrankOne year at Thanksgiving, my mom
went to my sister’s house for the traditionalfeast. Knowing how gullible my sister is, mymom decided to play a trick. She told mysister that she needed something from thestore. When my sister left, my mom took theturkey out of the oven, removed the stuff-ing, stuffed a Cornish hen, and inserted itinto the turkey, and re-stuffed the turkey. She then placed the bird(s) back in theoven.
When it was time for dinner, my sisterpulled the turkey out of the oven and pro-ceeded to remove the stuffing. When herserving spoon hit something, she reachedin and pulled out the little bird.
With a look of total shock on her face,my mother exclaimed, “Patricia, you’vecooked a pregnant bird!” At the reality ofthis horrifying news, my sister started tocry. It took the family two hours to convinceher that turkeys lay eggs!
