there’s nothing like the olympic spirit!On August 3rd we held our seventh annual Casa Olympics! This day is always

a resident favorite and included athletic competitions as well as events to challenge the mind. This year the theme was the upcoming Winter Olympics and the teams

made up of staff and residents, made flags representing cold weather countries such as Norway, Greenland, Sweden and Russia and encouraged their team

mates while poking fun at their competition.

The selected events included an obstacle/fitness course, luge event, hockey, memory contest, staff trivia game and the always-favorite water balloon toss at the staff! There

were nearly forty participants representing the success of Casa’s Healthy Lifestyle program. In the end many received medals for their individual competitions and Team

Canada won the honor for being the Best Team. Check out some of our pictures of this great day and you will see Casa’s Olympic Spirit in action!
