Wli ER BAS by Section 42 of " The Laud Act, 1898," it is made lawful for the Governor to direct that any Reierve shall vest in and be held by any Municipality, bond Board, or other person or persons to be named in the order, in trust for any of the purposes set forth in Section 39 of the said Act, or for the like or other public purposes to be specified in, such order: And whereas, it is deemed expedient that Reserve No. 14086, (Avon, ,North Baandee) should vest in and be held by the Honourable the Minister for Water Supply, Sewer-age, and Drainage, in trust for the purpose of "Water": Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, Moth hereby ffirect, that the before-mentioned Reserve shall vest in and be held by the Honourable the Minister for Water Supply, Sewerage., and Drainage, in trust for the purpose aforesaid; subject, nevertheless, to the powers reserved to him by Section 41 of the said Act.

MUNICIPALITY OF NORTRAM—IMPROVEMENTS.

NOTICE is hereby given, and it is hereby declared, that the several pieces or parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto—being all in the Municipality of Northam—have, in pursuance of the written approval and consent of His Excellency the Governor, dated the 27th day of October, 1915, been set apart or taken for the purposes of the Municipality of Northam Scheme for the improvement of the embankment of the Avon. River, comprising the construction of a, Main Storm Water Drain along the said embankment, and also an Ornamental Reserve or Promenade over the same length, and for levelling the ground and soil in accord-ance with such improvements, which scheme is referred to as the Avon River Improvement -ielteme.

And further notice is hereby given that the said pieces or parcels of land so set apart are marked off and more particularly described on Plan P.W.D., W.A., 18423 (L.T.O. 3885), which may be inspected at the Office of the Northam Municipal Council.

And it is hereby directed, that the said lands shall vest in the Municipality of Northam for an estate in fee simple accordingly, freed and discharged from all trusts, mortgages, charges, estates, rights-of-way, or other easements whatsoever.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP. NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership which has for some time past been carried on by Kenneth Young, Annie Eliza Young, and Lewis Alexander young, under the style or firm of 'Young Brothers," at Bal-kuling, in the trade or business of farmers, was on the 19th .day of July, 1915, dissolved. The said Kenneth Young and Annie Eliza. Young retire from the said business, which the said Lewis Alexander Young will continue to carry on alone under the firm of "Young Brothers."

All moneys due to the late partnership must, be paid to the said Lewis Alexander Young, W110 will pay the liabilities of the late partnership.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The Subscription to the "Government Gazette" is as follows :-22s. 6d. per annum, 12s. per half year, and 7s. per quarter. Single copies 6d., previous years up to ten years ls., over ten years 2s. 6d.

Subscriptions are required to commence and terminate with a month.

Advertisements: Notices for insertion must be re-ceived by the Government Printer before Ten o'clock on the day preceding the day of publication, and are charged at the following rates:—

For the first eight lines, 4s.; For every additional line, 46.,

and half-Price for each subsequent insertion. To estimate the cost of an advertisement, count nine

words to a line; heading, signature, and date being reckoned as separate lines.

All fees are payable in advance. Remittances should be made by money order, postal note, or cheque. Ex-change must be added to cheques.
