Vocabulary:• Slab construction = using flat

sheets of leather hard clay to build 3-dimensional forms

Materials:Clay, clay tools, slab roller, low-fire

earthen ware glazes

Project Requirements:• Main construction method is slab• House has a specific theme (such as

Halloween, Christmas, farm animals, Pop Art, etc.)

• Has significant detail (such as door, roof tiles, flower boxes, etc.)

• Cut out windows (we will put lights in the houses)

• Minimum 6” tall

Due Dates:• Tag board mock-up (worth 20

points): Friday 10/12• Greenware (worth 20 points):

Tuesday 10/23• Finished project (worth 100 points,

following Advanced 3-D Art rubric): TBD
