COLLECTION OF TRADE Union DUES

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 45 of the

Trade Disputes Act, the Minister for Labour and Manpower

Development:

(a) Revokes the order published under Gazette Notice No. |

1224 of 1995.

(b) Orders every employer who employs not less than five

members of the Kenya National Union of Teachers to—

() deduct every month a sum of 2 per cent of the basicsalary in respect of trade union dues from the wages

of each of his employees who is a member of that

trade union ;

(a) pay the total sum so deducted in any month, not later

than the third day from the date of which such wages

were paid by crossed cheque made payable to the

head office account No. 230-644-720 of the Kenya‘National Union of Teachers at the Kenya Commer-cial Bank Limétted, Moi Avenue Branch, P.O. Box

36081, Nairobi;

Gi) notify that trade union im writing, before the end ofach month the total amount of all payments made

into that account in the month ; and

iv) notify the registrar of trade unions in writing, before

the end of each month the total amount of all pay-

ments made to that account in that month,

THE FORESTS ACT

(Cap. 385)

INTENTION TO ALTER BOUNDARIES-—MARMANET FOREST

IN ACCORDANCE with the provisions of section 4 (2) of

the Forests Act, the Minister for Environment and Natural

Resources gives twenty-eight (28) days’ notice, with effect from

the date of publication of this notice, of his imtention to declare

that the boundaries of the Marmanet Forest shall be altered so

as to exclude the area described in the schedule hereto.

ScHEDULE

An area of land of approximately 162.56 hectares, lying within

and adjoining the south-western boundary of Marmanet Forest,

situated approximately six kilometres north-west of Nyahurura

Municipality in the Laikipia District, Rift Valley Province, the

boundaries of which are more particularly delineated, edgedred, on the Boundary Plan No. 175/367, which is signed and

sealed with the seal of the Survey of.Kenya and deposited at

the Survey Records Office, Survey of Kenya, Nairobi, anda

copy of which may be inspected at the office of the District

Forest Office, Forest Department, Nyahururu.
