Why did you choose this field?I found myself in the media industry after years of specializing in video analysis technology and after identifying two major gaps in the field: a gap between available technology capabilities in the world and in academy and its lack of use and implementation in the media field; and a disturbing and dangerous power gap between local publishers and Google and its subsidiary, YouTube, which had taken over the market leaving local players to fight for the crumbs.I realized that, for me, the right way was to gather the Israeli content and television publishers under one roof (this move obtained a unique approval from the Antitrust Authority) and integrate the technology I developed into the world of media.

Basically, a premium video advertising solution was created, which added value to advertisers and has proved itself.

The local sites have returned to the front of the stage and are now an equal competitor to foreign alternatives. The fascinating challenge against such powerful players fascinated me, so I decided to actively become a player in the media industry, rather than develop technology for others. h

What motivates you?The belief technology ability to create real influence by producing and integrating more advanced and smart technological solutions in every field. At Artimedia, by integrating publishers premium content advantages with technological solutions, we created a competitive edge in the market and succeeded in changing it from end to end. Further development of the field, market recovery, the creation of healthy and fair competition in Israel, and looking to implement these changes worldwide, motivate me every day. h

The decision to become an entrepreneur involves a great deal of risk and uncertainty and competing against the biggest and most threatening companies in the world – Google and Facebook – was without a question the most courageous decision of my life. Fortunately, at least so far, it has proved itself as a challenging, but a very good and fascinating, decision.

How do you spend your quality time?For me, family is the paramount value, which is why I devote the short free time I have with my wife, who is the true power behind my entrepreneurship.

What is your ultimate advice for your clients?As a big believer in technology, in my opinion, every profession that has repetitiveness will ultimately disappear. Therefore, always prefer technology "without human touch" for routine tasks that require human resources and leave the human factor space and quality time to think and develop creative and innovative ideas.
