On Madison Avenue, Bottega Veneta’s creative director Tomas Maier will have his own boutique at 956. Rena Lange will come to 791 later this year. John Varvatos’ flagship at 765 made its bow. Qatar luxury retailer Qela has just announced that it will make its U.S. debut this fall at 680. Roundabout’s second Madison Avenue location is now operating at 1100. Roland Mouret’s first New York store will be at 952, formerly Bang & Olufsen. Peter Millar has signed for a major presence at 536. Madewell will make its Upper East Side debut at 1144 Madison Avenue.

On Fifth Avenue, DeSheli, a chic Israeli cosmetics company that sells packages of products after a private session with each customer at an office, is breaking into the U.S. market with locations at 245 Fifth, 587 Fifth and the Paramount Building in Times Square. flagship for two years as its 52nd Street home is renovated. Blancpain, Swatch’s luxury brand, is coming to the former Gant space at 645. Gap’s latest format for its Concept Store at 680 is “Lived In,” featuring some of its more classic merchandise. Lao Feng Xiang jewelry has taken three floors at 585, its first location in North America. Just off the Avenue, have lovely French cuisine at the new Beautique restaurant at 8 West 58th Street. Daniel Boulud’s Épicerie Boulud will launch an outpost at the Plaza Food Hall later this year.

In Harlem, The Food Bank for New York City has leased a storefront at 71 St. Nicholas Avenue. Central Park North Orthodontics will bring smiles to the neighborhood at 1851 Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard. YSB Salon will make us beautiful at 2520 Frederick Douglass Boulevard.

In Midtown, Design Within Reach finally debuted its studio at 957 Third Avenue. Urban Space, the manager of Dekalb Market, among others, will create a food hall featuring some 20 to 30 chefs and food merchants at 230 Park Avenue sometime next year. Suarte Shoes, a three-year-old, high-end brand from South Korea, made its U.S. debut at the Affinia 50 hotel at 818 Third Avenue. Starbucks is relocating from Grand Central Terminal to 425 Lexington Avenue.

In Flatiron, Michael’s Arts & Crafts will keep our hands occupied at 675 Sixth Avenue. Montmartre’s famed Le Coq Rico restaurant will make its U.S. debut at 32 East 20th Street.

In Herald Square, Urban Outfitters will debut at 1333 Broadway in June.

On the Upper East Side, look for apparel and accessories from local designers at amysachs, 415 East 72nd Street. Online jeweler Adornia has its first physical store at 197 East 76th Street. Warby Parker will open its third shop at 1209 Lexington Avenue, the former home of the fabled Lascoff Drugs. Lush Spa launched at 783 Lexington Avenue. Gagosian Gallery has a new location at 821 Park Avenue. Jeweler Fabrizio Giannone has taken a boutique at 1031 Lexington Avenue. The Art of Shaving will locate its eighth city store at 1140 Third Avenue. Children’s apparel maker Hartstrings’ first Manhattan shop is at 1114 First Avenue. Julien Farel is relocating his Julien Farel Restore Salon & Spa to the Loews Regency Hotel at 540 Park Avenue. Le Pain Quotidien will have a café at 865 Lexington Avenue.

On the Upper West Side, KES, reportedly from designer Lia Kes, is opening at 82nd Street and Amsterdam Avenue. Michael Kors is coming to The Shops at Columbus Circle.

In Union Square, Ricky’s founder Ricky Kenig, who left his namesake company last year, has created Kenig + Alcone, a shop focusing solely on makeup and skin care at 538 Sixth Avenue. Consignment great INA’s newest and largest branch is at 110 East 13th Street. Planet Fitness’ latest location will be 22 East 14th Street.

In Chelsea/Meatpacking, French clothing line The Kooples is subletting Moschino’s shop at 401 West 14th Street through September 2018. Barney’s New York will return to 101 Seventh Avenue in 2017. Amorino’s French gelato and chocolates will be coming to 162 Eighth Avenue. Restaurant Dewey’s will serve the guests (and the neighborhood) at the new Courtyard New York Manhattan/Chelsea at 135 West 30th Street.

In Murray Hill, Moynat is bringing its fine leathers from France to an in-store shop at Dover Street Market, 160 Lexington Avenue, for a couple of months.

In Greenwich Village, Calvin Klein reportedly will open a second New York store at 340 Bleecker Street. Annick Goutal has its first New York City shop at 397 Bleecker. E-commerce jeweler Charm & Chain will have its first brick-and-mortar store at 611 Broadway. Melissa Joy Manning has debuted her first jewelry shop at 12 Wooster Street. Decorate with amazing lighting fixtures at Luceplan, coming to 14 Wooster Street. Laduree’s newest home for its macarons is 398 West Broadway. Maison Martin Margiela’s MM6 label will have its second location at 91 Grand Street. Pita Grill will replace Five Guys at 496 LaGuardia Place. Those of us with a sweet tooth have a new headquarters: Handsome Dan’s at 186 First Avenue. ESquared Hospitality will replace BLT Burger with a Mexican concept, Horchata, at 470 Sixth Avenue.

In Soho, Google’s first brick-and-mortar shop is a location at 131 Greene. A casual, but luxurious, take on leather bags and more is available at Will Leather Goods, newly arrived at 29 Prince Street. At press time, Under Armour’s

newest and largest shop was to open at the end of April at 583 Prince Street. Celine’s Soho location will be 67 Wooster Street. Down the street at 136 Wooster, Adidas Original Neighborhood will offer limited addition footwear later this year. Find Original Penguin at 654 Broadway. Dior reportedly will take a second Soho unit at 103 Greene Street. Pucker, a new makeup salon at 129 Grand Street, offers some 100 different lipstick shades! A couple of retailers liked their temporary space so much, they’ve decided to stay: Vintage e-commerce site LXR & Co. at 112 Wooster Street and Joseph at 72-76 Greene Street. Birchbox, the cosmetics e-commerce site that sends subscribers a variety of sample sizes every month, will launch a permanent store on West Broadway. In Noho, Bergdorf’s stylist extraordinaire John Barrett will open a salon on Bond Street in October.

In the Financial District (FiDi), reports are that Zara will occupy a three-level store at 222 Broadway, near the Fulton Center. Add Diane von Furstenberg and Bonobos’ Guideshop to the list of luxe tenants at Brookfield Place, while Black Seed’s wood-fired bagels will join the amazing lineup of eateries. Gap has taken a three-level space at 170 Broadway (a future Marriott Residence Inn). e.l.f. cosmetics’ second studio is at 139 Fulton Street.

In Tribeca/Nolita/LES, Internet magazine Bullett has brought its online apparel shop into brick and mortar at 47 Walker Street. Callicoon Fine Arts is now around the corner from its Forsyth Street location at a space three times the size at 49 Delancey Street. The former Le Salon d’Art at 90 Stanton Street will become an Aveda salon. Helmut Lang has come to 14 Prince Street. The Mark Project, a micro shop-in-shop curated by stylist Mark Howell, opened inside Delicate Raymond Jewelry Bar, 73A Orchard Street. Williamsburg restaurateur Mark Firth returns to New York City with Grand Banks, an oyster bar aboard the Sherman Zwicker, an historic wooden boat to be docked at Pier 25 this summer.
