From the Pastor's Desk ...J Some of you have heard by~J now that I have scheduled a little

_ ~ surgery myself for mid-November.-- / It is nothing too serious (fixing an

abdominal hernia I gave myself more than adozen years ago when I was young and evenmore foolish than I am now). However, it willtake me out of work for a week or two, depending on what the surgeon finds. The datefor this surgery is Friday, November Ith and,God willing, I hope to be back driving and backat work by November 22nd

While I am not particularlynervous concerning the surgery, I do, of course, covet your prayers, especially for Karen whowill have to put up with me during the post-operative period! (I am told that I am NOT avery good patient, but I pledge to try harder thistime.) At any rate, if all goes well, I should beback in time for Advent and all the Christmasfestivities. I leave you in good hands with ourAssociate Pastor, Shane Smith, at the helm.

God bless and keep you.

Tom

beautiful leather Bible covers. Included in each was anice note of appreciation but NO signatures! We do notknow who our benefactor(s) were and the secretarynoted above, won't divulge a name - and so we arereduced to sending out a "blanket" THANK YOU toperson or persons unknown who have blessed us with amuch needed "cover" to two older and worn Bibles. While we would love to thank each one of youpersonally, for now we must be content with sayinghow deeply we appreciate your kindness, how muchwe needed the covers, and how we shall enjoy usingthem in the years ahead. Thank you to our anonymousgiver!
