the work of the buwan kothi international trust
TRANSCRIPT
The story begins in 2005 with the wedding of Gilly Mundy and Debbie Quargnolo in Buwan Kothi
a village in Haryana in northern India
A rural farming communityof around 36 families that is isolated and lacks basic amenities
such as a local doctor or a school
Visitors from Britainwere overwhelmed by the welcome they received from local people
and decided to give something back
Gilly’s sudden deathin March 2007, aged only 36, gave us renewed energy and a plan
to build a school named in his memory
benefiting the wider community
Over the next year we aimto complete work on the schooland start work on a Resource Centre
and schoolchildren in Britain
And strengthen tiesbetween the children at the Gilly Mundy Memorial Community School
