Celebration Newsletter
13th December 2019
100% Attendance
Pupils at The Willows Primary School and Nursery will be
awarded termly 100% Attendance badges.
They will be given for the following attendance:
Bronze - for 100% Attendance for 1 term.
Silver - for 100% Attendance for 2 terms.
Gold - for 100% attendance all year.
We look forward to seeing all of our pupils wearing
their new attendance badge and presenting them with their
certificate next week.
All children who have 100% attendance at the end of each
term will be entered in to a special prize draw with a chance
tio win a gift voucher from Argos. The first prize draw will
take place on the last day of term for all children who have
achieved 100% in the Autumn Term.
Well done and good luck to all of you whose names are still
in the draw.

Yr2 Christmas Carol Concert
Thank you so much to all the parents who came to our Christmas Carol Concert today. We think you will agree that the children performed extremely well, even if they were a little nervous.
We appreciate all the help you gave the children to learn the songs and the narrators to learn their lines.
Thank you.
The children will be awarded their certificates in assembly and named on our final newsletter next week.
Diary Dates
Saturday, 14th December
Yr6 Saturday School - 8.45am to 12.30pm
This is the last session before Christmas and it will start again on
11th January 2020.

Monday, 16th December
KS2 Choir at Eastgate for St Luke’s Hospice
The children are singing at 10.00am, will need to be in full
school uniform and wrapped up nicely for the weather as they will
be walking there and back. We hope to see as many people there
as possible.
Christingle—Visit to Holy Cross
Morning—Yr1 and Yr2
Afternoon—Yr5 and Yr6
PTA—Movie Night—3.15pm to 5.30pm—£4.00 per child
KS1 in Badger Hall—The Grinch
KS2 in Mole Hall—The Christmas Chronicles
KS1 and KS2 Christmas Choir Concert—6.30pm start
Children will need to arrive at school at 6.00pm and wear their full school uniform (with some tinsel of course!) If the children are already at school for the Film Night, they may stay at school with Mrs Carlier or Mrs Dennison. The show will start at 6.30pm and will last for approximately 1 hour.
Tuesday, 17th December
Christmas Dinner Day
Children can wear a festive jumper if they wish, no donation
required.
Wednesday, 18th December
Yr6 End of Term Reward Trip
The trip will be in two parts: in the morning, children will walk into
Basildon, children will be allowed to bring up to £15 spending
money and will not have to wear school uniform. We will be back
in time for lunch. In the afternoon, the children will be watching
the film adaptation of Stormbreaker – the book we have been
reading this half-term in English lessons.
